Hey everyone. I`m having problems finding a place for my fiancee and I to have a reception, without going to a catering hall. Is there any parks or beaches or other attractions in Nassau County where we can have a reception that allows music, drinking (not nesscary alcohol), and cooking at the premises? I called Jones Beach and Long Beach and they said no cooking or drinking in the beach. So HELP ME!!!
Have you tried Eisenhower Park in East Meadow? They are always having events there. I don't think they would have a problem with alcohol since my sority held a party there and we all drank (had a keg on the lawn). But they did make sure that we were all 21 (the ones that drank).

Gosh, Kelly, you and my fiance think alike. He also thought of Eisnerhower Park, but from what I heard from him that cermemonies are ok but no receptions. Or maybe he`s wrong. I`ll find out. Thanks.
they wouldn't have to know that it's a reception, you can just reserve a site for a party. special permit needed for alcohol, but you can barbeque, bring food in, whatever. make sure you go early bc the good sites get reserved early. good luck.
