Wedding package at Thatched cottage?

I just called The Thatched Cottage about availabitiy so I could cooridinate with our church...(we havent booked either yet but want to in the next week) and the BM I spoke to mentioned sometihng about a new 'Saturday afternoon Summer WEdding package'.

This wasnt around at our first meeting about a month ago. Does anyone know anything about it??

Just curious, he said something that it would be around $100 pp but would include dj and centerpieces. (BTW this is cheaper than what we were quoted at, so I'm very curious :))

Also, how are DJs usually in these package deals??

I didn't do a package through them because after doing some research, it was actually worked out cheaper for us to book our vendors separately. However, the dj's that they have listed on their prefered vendor list have gotten good reviews here.

Also, be aware that a daytime wedding for them is a cocktail hour start at 12 or 12:30 and a reception end time of 5 or 5:30. We originally thought about doing the day wedding to save $$$ but our church was unable to do the ceremony because they have a mass on Saturday mornings.

thanks!! At our first meeting I believe they said the CH starts at 1. Hopefully this is correct - definitely something to double check since we are still not sure of the time of the church!

Also, be sure to check the minimum. I don't know what size wedding you're planning, but we were told that for the package we had to guarantee 150 - not a big deal for us since our guarantee was going to be 150 any way.

But if none of those things are a problem, and the $100 pp is less than you were originally quoted, go for it!

I was never offered any package - but we were a sunday night.
I think the day cocktail hour has to start at 12 or 12:30, so the evening wedding can begin at 6.
I LOVED my wedding at the thatched cottage -- it was so beautiful. Have fun!
