Wedding pictures.

Has anyone been to the duck pond parks out in wading river or Miller place? We were recommended to one of those parks by Giorgios' for our pics before the ceremony.

i live right by the duck pond in miller place...Miller Place INN uses it for photos too! it is pretty nice...but if ur looking for water...just go to the beach!

i also work by wading river duck pond...again its nice but why would u risk getting ur dress dirty by bird poop and grass stains!

Do any of those ponds have a bridge over the water?

I grew up in Miller Place and my parents moved to Wading River after I graduated so I am quite familiar with both ponds! Both are very pretty but you might risk getting more dirty at the Miller Place one since it tends to be a little muddy. The wading river one has a street going between the pond that you can stand on one side of it with the pond in the back. I've seen wedding parties there and it looks nice! There is also an amazing picture spot in East Setauket on Main Street (25a) - its has a beautiful arch bridge over a lake with weeping willows on either side. That's where I'm going because its right across the street from the church.

My parents live in WR right near the duck pond (and my church is just up the street)....it's cute, there is no bridge, and the grassy areas do tend to have some bird poop, so that's dangerous....there is a street in between, but there are cars that come down there so it might depend what time of day you're doing it...we may use that spot, ahve to see...

The park in East Setauket is the Frank Melville/Mill Pond Park. Sis had her pics there, as will I. It's beautiful and has a small stone bridge.

I'd recommend AGAINST the pond across from MPI. Even though that's where my reception is, I was warned that it can be very buggy and icky. The water also gets quite a bit of growth and algae in it.

Are you looking to do pictures on the water? Cause Giorgio's has the beach you can go to
