Wedding Pictures at the Cottage
Laura, they look great and congratulations! We are getting married at the Cottage in three months. Am wondering how you handled your pictures beforehand, it looks like you took some in the village beforehand - was that enough time so you still attended the cocktail hour? We are getting married on site at 6 p.m. and I know we can''''''''t actually use the cottage until 5:30. Any insight would be helpful. jc

Hi Laura! We are getting married at the Cottage July 14th. Our church ceremony is at 3 and our reception is at 7, just like yours. How did that work out? Did you feel like the time was dragging or did it fly? Any tips/advice on anything? Thanks! Sharon

Beautiful pics, Laura! Thanks for sharing! Question...
Your bouquet is gorgeous! Is it all white roses? Do you know how many were in there? I'm having a clutch with all white roses with stephanotis. Was it comfortable to carry/hold it? I love your cake, too! I'm trying to talk my FI into a stacked cake instead of tiered - I may have to compromise and tier the top layer. At least he's agreed that we can forego the topper and use real flowers! :) Thanks!

Question for Laura (and beautiful pictures!)
Laura- Your pictures are beautiful - Congratulations!! May I ask a question regarding the Cottage...I can't seem to find any info on them on the Web. Approximately what do they charge per head on either a Friday or Saturday night (or afternoon). My fiance and I are looking for a Dec. 2002 wedding date. Also, is there a ceremony area there that you know about? Any help would be greatly appreciated...Thanks! And congrats again!!! :) Marni

Timing worked out perfect-- we left church around 4:30 or so-- took tons of pics at the village (45-60 minutes) and then Jeremy and I told everyone 6:30 for family shots up at the cottage-- so we did some single shots before and after that-- we made the mistake of not telling people ahead of time-- we did it at the church-- once again i highly recommend your photographer to know the area-- at 6:50 I left the photographer and joined the bridal party and the cocktail hour--- any other questions ask away laura [email protected]

Beautiful pics, Laura! Thanks for sharing! Question...
THey were bianca/virginia roses--they were more cream colored--which at first i was surprised at--but they came out beautiful in pics--- we used the same roses in all the bouquest/centerpiece and cake topper-- there were 36--from what i heard that is on the high end--but i wanted it to be fully round which it was and i was told by a few people that is the only way to do it that other florists will tell you they can make it for less but it wont come out looking fully round-- the only downside--it dried to a NASTY brown color so if you are interested in saving and doing something pretty with it--def dont use this kind!! teh stephanotis is beautiful and it had the pearls my BM's had 24 in their bouqets and my MOH was in a wedding the week after with less and she said she could def feel the difference-- i was in oblivion so i didnt realize how heavy they were until the end of the night when we were taking them to the hotel Laura

Wedding Pictures at the Cottage-question for Laura
Hi, Laura, Hope all is well with you!! How's married life? First of all, your pictures are beautiful; you both looked wonderful-so happy. Just have a quick question as a fellow Milleridge bride; how many people were at your wedding? I'm just getting nervous as it is now less than a year away that there won't be enough room-I know I'm being crazy. Just nerves, I guess. Was there enough room on the dance floor? Thanks so much, Helen

Yeah you have to -- one suggestion-- our minimum was 200-- so the 10 days before we paid for the 200 and 3 vendors at 1/2 price the night of we never had a bill to settle-- so def undershoot your number and pay the bear minimum cause you might luck out Laura

Laura - can you email your layout?
Hey Laura! I was hoping you could email me the layout you did for the Milleridge on the computer. We are having about 230. Where did you have the band? My email is [email protected]. Oh and one more question. We are choosing our menu next weekend. We had the food tasting a couple weeks ago but we thought we were doing the two star menu. Now we want to do the three star. Do you recommend any dishes, appetizers or anything? Thanks again. Thank you so much!!

Laura - can you email your layout?
Laura, Yes, can you please e-mail me your layout as well? [email protected] We are inviting 250. Thanks, Helen Also, fi doesn't want to have dj in middle like Nadine suggested; he wants him in the corner to the side. Do you foresee any problems with that?

Laura - can you email your layout?
we almost switched to the 3 star this is what we did added shrimp cocktail to the cocktail hour(in large bowls--not sure if they do that anymore) and added the viennese hour-- it was well worth it as for dinner choices-- we had them agree to chateau briand and 2 mor choices--this is not the normal situation so we were able to choose the salmon and chicken cordon blue-- it was out of this world--- and we did the crepe--which everyone loved not only because it was great but because it was not typical--and the ceasar was great as well Jeremy and I are one of the few B&G who actually sat and ate and it was the best time we had together cause we could talk with no one else around!! ask for Steve--they will tell you they cant tell you ahead of time because schedules change--but with us it worked so it is worth a try-- Laura PS what is aoltw.com i know they merged but from aol do i need to put that?

With 250 I think that will be hard-- have you shown him pictures? they dont take up too much space and if you put the dj off to the side you are taking away from the tables that you are goning to need we did it with 19 tables--but our list went from 266 to 210 so we had room to play with I will email the layouts hopefully tonight-- I havent had a chance to even turn on my computer at home-- I owe someone else camera info--I havent forgotten LauraWelcome New Vendors
