I absolutely would not do this and I find it odd anyone would ever ask people to do this especially during the reception. I never understood the whole 'trash the dress' shoot- why pay so much money for your dress/their dresses just to ruin them? If this is something you really wanted to do I would suggest another day but most definitely not during the wedding.

This whole post is kinda creepy, lol. Do yourself a favor and don't make your wedding party go in a pool during the reception. I'm pretty sure you'll have a lot of pissed off ladies!

Just...don't do it. If you want to torture anyone, just make yourself do it. Not only would I be mad about having to walk around in a heavy, wet dress..but I'd be mad that I was forced to spend the money on said dress just to ruin it.

If you kept it a surprise, and I were in your BP, I'd most likely never talk to you again. Like I'd probably leave your wedding if you asked me while I'm in a dress to jump in the pool. Just saying.

I completely agree that if you really want to do this it should be on another day. It just doesn't seem worth it to me to have your bridesmaids be uncomfortable the rest of the night for ONE photo that probably won't look that awesome anyways. Maybe plan a trash the dress session and do it then? Or during/after your bachelorette party somehow?

this is a god awful idea. i would have to be heavily drugged to do that to a dress and be uncomfortable for the rest of the night.
