wedding places

Hi! My fiancee and I are looking for castle-like wedding places in Long Island. We like to have our wedding in a gothic, victorian castle with high ceilings. Oheka castle is out of the question, because of the price...can anyone suggest other places? Thank you.

Yes, quite a few. My favorite spot (anywhere!) is a duck pond in Setauket behind the old Post Office off Main St./Old Town Rd. on the way to Old Field past the Emma Clark Library. There's lots of spots to work with, it's private, you have trees, water, and bridge (+ Rhodos in Spring)

Call me @ 631-473-7752 if you need further info.

My husband and I looked for a castle or mansion for our Long Island Wedding. If you would be willing to look at mansions, I think you might like a few of the ones I saw. Please email me privately for more info:

I have no problem sharing all the info, but it will take me some time to research where I got the phone numbers for the mansions and wedding coordinators for estates in the Hamptons. Since the original request was for castles, not mansions, I just wanted to be sure Neda was even considering these alternatives. I am at work, but I will do some research at lunchtime or tonight for some of the websites I used to find these places. I am glad to see there is an interest and will do my best to provide what I know in a timely manner. My wedding was at the Vanderbilt Mansion in Oakdale. It is on the Dowling College campus. I feel everything went perfectly and definitely recommend the place. You can check out the caterer they use at http://www.stonecaterers.com/homepage.htm.
The college has a virtual tour of Forunoff Hall and the courtyard there where I had my ceremony.

I wanted to thank everyone for your suggestions for the mansions and castles, they are great!!! We are actually looking for mansions, and have looked at a few places that people had suggested... We have an appointment to see DeSeversky next week, and I agree that it is a best kept secret of Long Island. We have seen Coindre Hall and it is pretty nice, but a little institutionalized (bathrooms, etc.) since it was a boy's school for thirty years. We actually had a tasting there as well, but they did not pay attention to detail (ripped tablecloths, etc)which is very important. I had never heard of Vanderbilt Mansion, and that is definetely a possibility, I will call them tomorrow...so THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU FOR ALL THE SUGGESTIONS!!!!

I spoke to one of my coworkers today who is Spanish and asked him what song he would suggest for a father/daughter dance.

He said there is a beautiful song called 'Mi Nina'; he is not sure who sings it, but he will let me know tomorrow. He also suggested 'Nina to Mujer' by Julio Iglesias. Hope this helps!!
