wedding planner or doc

Has anyone hired a wedding planner or doc? Now that the wedding is getting closer I am getting stressed and want to maybe put it in the hands of someone else. Any ideas?

Cheeky Details!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously amazing. I just used them as DOCs for my wedding two weeks ago and I can;t recommend them enough. They took all of my stress away and I was able to truly enjoy my day because of them. I highly suggest meeting with them!!! HTH! Good luck!

I'm also a Cheeky Bride. They've been so much help and I was able to get hooked up with a lot of perks through their vendors.

I did not go the traditional route and hire a DOC from one of the companies many of the girls use on here. we actually hired FH's second cousin to help us. She is doing a bit of DOC (making sure everything is set up how I want it, arranging our centerpiece displays etc), but is also helping us DIY a ton of stuff. I feel like she is totally easing my stress about a lot of things!

That's great. FH thinks its a waste of time to hire someone to just make sure everyrhing is ok. I have high anxiety so I thought it would be a great idea. What kinds of things does the DOC do?

I just got married yesterday and had a DOC. It is 100% worth the price just so you don't have to worry about tipping the vendors and making sure everything is set up the way you want it. I used Kristyn from once upon an event. She was beyond amazing. She was by my side all night making sure I had what ever I needed. I originally wasn't going to hire one and didn't until I was one month away and I am so glad I decided to hire Kristyn.

The day of the event I will have a bridal attendant and a matre'd. I'm not sure what the doc or wc will do. Being on a budget, we decided not to go with a coordinator and put the money towards something else. I think that if you don't need it, it's not necessary. But if you're the type of person that likes things a certain way... You might benefit. As well as your FH

The BA & matre'd just handle things related to the venue on the day, the DOC handles all vendors and arrangments weeks before, during and if you have a problem with a vendor they will even help after the wedding.

I used Cheeky being I was 200 miles abay for LI and couldn't have been happier, money well spent for us.
