I think I pretty much have most of the basics down... From the RH, flowers, limos, photog and video... But Im worried that I'm going to end up missing some of the small things, like a garter or my knife set or even toasting flutes... So, should I book a wedding planner, or should I just stick with a DOC?

If you have most of it plan, I say stick with a DOC. Its up to you.

Personally, since you are worried about those small things right now, I suggest a wedding planner for that day! You wont imagine what other things will pop up besides remembering the knife etc! She can help you review before the big day to make sure you dont forget things, even details you never thought about!
If you are interested I have a wonderful wedding planner! you can give her a call! She does day of-coordinating and reasonable prices!!

If you are worried about missing the small stuff, pick up a wedding planning book (I have The Wedding Book by Mindy Weiss) and flag certain details that are important to you (like toasting flutes, etc) and start picking these items up along the way and have a list of things to remember on the big day!

Re: Wedding planner or not?
We loved our DOC and don't think our wedding would have been as amazing without her. I didnt have toworry about anything at all..she finalized all of my appointments/details brought everything tot eh RH and calmed me down! Take a look at Gina from Bleu Diamond Events...she was incredible!

I agree with this as well. If you have everything planned out and have no problems with finding/booking vendors, I would just go with the DOC,
Besides if you think about, why pay some to help you plan when you have all of us?!

You're better off using a DOC. Prices can range from $1500 - $3000 a day for the top of the line talent. Check out Plum Events, Inc. Not sure what they charge, but I've heard great reviews about them.

Re: Wedding planner or not?
I just hired Katie of Sara Kate Events as my planner but I don't have anything planned yet and have a super busy job and have NO time to investigate vendors. But if I had things booked like you do, then I would probably just go with a DOC to help you on the day FM me if you want any info!
