A day of planner.. does the same things any planner would do, but since you only have them one day ... it's more cost effective..

Things Planner's normally do..

Get you to the church on time..
Get vendors in place, on time..
Make final payments for you.. or give out tips to delivery people etc.
Make sure rooms/church are set up the way you want..
Coordinate with the BM/M'tradie/DJ on the flow of your reception.
Make sure your photographer takes the pics you want..with the people you want..
Basically be the the person that lets you and your family and FH ENJOY your wedding day..

Hi! Im new to this! Im actually using www.carolevents.com she is based in Manhattan but travels everywhere and she has great prices and wonderful ideas already she has saved me money.

i love laura.....
i have used her for everything - invites, tear packs, acessories for the ceremony and reception, she was my shower coordinator and is also my wedding coordinator!

Have to say i agree...laura is WONDERFUL! I wanted to have her as my coordinator but some LIW gal (chris605

) took her first

$150 from house to reception?? The lowest quote I got was $450. Thats a deal

Wow that is really cheap! definitely a deal.

The lowest quote I got was $500.00 for the day and I thought it was reasonable. But hey if $150.00 can get the job done then great!

Wished I would have found out earlier:(.

In addition to Pookies list:

dress shopping

ordering invites

renting a PO box for me- she is keeping track of the all the RSVPS

found my favors- will also assemble and deliver them to the hall the week of my wedding

she drove me to a bunch of vendor appointments- a big thing since i dont drive, and a lot of my vendors are on long island

I'm really happy so far!
