are wedding planners expensive??? its soooo much work to plan a wedding!!!!

I was told a 'Day of Coordinator' averages around $1000. I can't imagine what a planner would charge although on 'Rich Bride, Poor Bride' they seem to run between 2 and 4k.

A 'Day of Coordinator' helps out on the day of the wedding. She deals with the vendors and the wedding timeline. She's the 'go to' person and she makes sure your day is as stress free as possible. I want one but FI thinks 1K is too much.

I guess after u buy everything else spending a grand on a day of coordinator is prob to much. I think i might need it though! I will be stressing so much!

there are a few brides on here who have started doing DOC. I'm not sure what they charge...
I want to get into that after my wedding. i think it's a great business, and a great way to help out brides on here as well. I know that if i do start doing this, i'd cut LIW brides a deal.
I am paying about $1000 for my DOC. I am using Perfect Wedding Planner through the Fox Hollow. Their planning service is free, but the DOC is a fee. I was only willing to pay the amount originally for a specific person, but he left and my contract didn't garuntee him even though his name was on it so there's nothing i can do. I figure it's still worth the peace of mind. We get two people, and hopefully it'll be worth the price lol
