Wedding planning

Is it what you thought it would be?

Re: Wedding planning

I thought wedding planning was going to be stressful b/c everyone I knew was super crazy about their wedding. I'm loving everything about it. I know that I am still a year out, but mostly everything so far has been smooth sailing. FH and I are really enjoying planning together!

Re: Wedding planning

I was REALLY stressed at first, before I realized how much other people would want to be involved in the process, especially my mom....it's going really well so far, even though we're planning in under a year! things just seem to be falling into place....

i love it, and if i could quit teaching, id want to be a DOC-but then again i am so impulsive that its probably not a good idea....

i feel like i have wedding on my mind 24/7...its a little rediculous. i try to stay grounded and tell myself to stop getting so obsessed-but this is just the way i am...

so far, so good...

FH and I said from day one that we REALLY wanted to enjoy every bit of planning. FH is very involved with wedding decisions so it is very nice that we were able to enjoy all of the planning together. We have had sooo much fun!!!! I am sure these next couple of months will be stressful right before the wedding with last minute things but we are having so much fun!! I don't want it to end!!!!

I really enjoy the whole wedding planning that I got information in the mail to become a wedding planner. My FH is also a DJ and is encouraging me to do it.

Re: Wedding planning

im the lone ranger who picked awful... for the simple fact that i have realllly bad timing... i'm planning a wedding while attending a Advanced full time nursing program that crams it into 13 months. so its EXTREMLY stressfull trying to plan a wedding at the same time all while trying to FIND the money to pay for it... if i could go back and do it all over.. i would have had a shot gun wedding before school.. or waited till way after

I think it's fun.....until you have parental involvement/demands. Then it's horrible.

i thought it would be all rainbows and lollipops since i have been planning in my head since i was a fetus

BUT i have these moments where I am really stressed - and it comes in waves. . . like i think at my six month mark i had a total breakdown

but now i am enjoying it (at the moment, LOL)

but its hard for me to figure out if my stress is from the wedding OR actually BUILDING our apartment to live in WHILE wedding planning. . .

I've been lucky, but I have also learned how still do things my way, but think others (parents, etc) are getting their way!

Re: Wedding planning

I am kinda feeling both. I love planning and picking and doing what I want but very stressed b/c it is all on FH with $ part. I am searching for a teaching job in CT and so far nothing. I am not making the $ I wanted or had planned for so it is kinda stressful but I am having fun planning.

Ok so I picked awful and totally stressed because it is the closest to what I feel. Awful isn't really the word though, stressed is more like it. I am trying to keep focus of the whole reason behind this, marrying my baby, but aside from that holy mother of god! I am out of my mind!!! LOL 1/4 from my own dag brain and the other 3/4 from my mother's! It will get better I know it will!!! LOL I just want it here already!

A shotgun wedding is an expression referring to a type of wedding which is arranged not because of the desire of the participants, but to avoid embarrassment due to an unintentional pregnancy. The phrase is an American colloquialism based on a supposed scenario (hyperbole) that the father of the pregnant daughter, almost by accepted custom, must resort to using coercive force (the shotgun) to ensure that the man who impregnated her goes through with the wedding.
