im the lone ranger who picked awful... for the simple fact that i have realllly bad timing... i'm planning a wedding while attending a Advanced full time nursing program that crams it into 13 months. so its EXTREMLY stressfull trying to plan a wedding at the same time all while trying to FIND the money to pay for it... if i could go back and do it all over.. i would have had a shot gun wedding before school.. or waited till way after

wait, shotgun weddings are for those brides who have a, um, bun in the oven

i wish that would have been my excuse it would have been more exciting!!

A shotgun wedding is an expression referring to a type of wedding which is arranged not because of the desire of the participants, but to avoid embarrassment due to an unintentional pregnancy. The phrase is an American colloquialism based on a supposed scenario (hyperbole) that the father of the pregnant daughter, almost by accepted custom, must resort to using coercive force (the shotgun) to ensure that the man who impregnated her goes through with the wedding.

Re: Wedding planning

My wedding planning has actually been great and relatively stress free. I guess its good that my sister and many of my friends have already gotten married so I knew how and in what areas to avoid drama and stress.

Re: Wedding planning

I like it so much I have and am still considering being a wedding planner...but it is stressful because we are paying for it ourselves AND for our new home. if it weren't for financial worries...i'd be 100% on cloud nine with the wedding planning, but with a tight budget comes stress. to be expected.

Re: Wedding planning

I was stressing in the begining cause everyone was telling me I had no time having only a year to plan and that all the good stuff would be booked. Once I got over that intial stress I have beend on pause. Now that I think about it I am almost at the 6 month and I am waiting for it to hit me.

I cant say I'm not stressed at all because trying to keep track of doing things on time is pretty stressful but then again it is really fun!! if I was planning full time I think I'd have a blast!
