Wedding 'planning' album

I just picked up a scrapbook/binder from Michael's today, on sale. I am hoping to use it as a place to keep all of my paperwork (contracts, email correspondences, etc.) as well as inspirational photos, party pictures leading up to the wedding, and more. I think it's going to be a cool, fun project and a nice thing to save for when my future child gets married (they can see what it was like to get married in the 'old' days).

Has anyone else done something like this before? I'll post photos when it starts to fill up!

I thought of doing that and even got a binder myself. But then I started to think that would be a lot of paper wasted so I decided to go the digital route. Everything from wedding inspiration photos to color coordination of clothes and decorations to special poses I'd like to do with my FH & wedding party are stored right on my laptop via cloud so I can have access to the pictures anytime I go on the internet. But that's just my way, of course. I'm sure your scrapbook will turn out great! And that's so nice that you would like to share that with your children later down the line. I think both ways are great to keep yourself organized. Happy planning!

I have a wedding binder! It has all my contracts, guest lists, todos, etc. I like having some things written out sometimes, I think better that way. I do like the idea of passing it on but god knows how much of this crap will change. Will our kids even know what paper is by then?

I have a wedding binder and an accordion folder to keep important contracts in. I'm mostly using the binder to keep ideas from magazines that I find and as a keepsake thing to show our future children. My mom found hers the other day and she was married at the same venue as us. We're paying about $70pp more than they paid and they were Saturday night in May and we're doing a Friday in august! Crazy! We also went to their photographer where they paid $1700 for everything (album, parent album, engagement shoot) and now for all that he charges almost 6K! Crazyyyyyy!!! I can't imagine what all our kids will pay 20+ years from now!

I actually think costs have gone down...I think there I so much competition they are literally throwing things at people to book them. I was married before in 1996, It cost 25,000. I feel like I didn't get nearly as much as I am now or the quality I am now and I am only up to about $13,000(hall,DJ and photo).I just feel the quality has been so much better from what I am seeing because everyone is competing for all of the brides.Plus there were no internet sites like these back then, people are researching much more.

Re: Wedding 'planning' album

I just started one today, because as much as the digital route is helpful and less wasteful, I'd like to have all my ideas/budgets/guest lists with me at all times. I keep having to dig out my files on my phone, which is difficult.

I had to edit some things, but it's amazing!

I also like keeping paper copies of important documents, just in case the internet goes down, or my laptop is misplaced, etc. I'm a historian by nature so I feel like it'd be fun for my kids to see how my wedding was, compared to theirs!

LOVING THIS WESBITE! Thank you for sharing!! (like I need more printables for my binder!! haha)
I have a wedding binder too- separated with information of each vendor/guestlists/inspiration for the day/honeymoon information & spreadsheets with info from our engagement party and eventually my shower (attendees, addresses, gifts given, etc.) have all the receipts for everything wedding related, vendors & venue too just to keep track.. Its keeping me much more organized than what I had previously of just keeping everything in one folder. I also have an ongoing excel sheet that I update every time we make a payment on something
