Wedding Plaza Bonny Bridal Plus Size Trunk Show
Being a plus size bride I was so excited to learn about a plus size trunk show! I made my appointment to go this Sunday! This is my second attempt at wedding dress shopping, but I haven't tried on any dresses yet... hope I get to go shopping this time!Is anyone else going? And has anyone heard anything about/used The Wedding Plaza in Floral Park for their dress??

I went there to look for bridesmaid dresses because they were the closet place that carried the designers - i read terrible reviews online which made me pretty cautious - we had a nice consultant and found the dress but ordered them for cheaper elsewhere. It seemed like they had a nice selection of dresses- The reviews were mostly related to customer service and alterations. Good luck!

You should try RK Bridal in the city! As a plus size bride, it was nice to actually try on dresses in sample sizes that fit me. They had a ton of dresses in different styles and price ranges. I was able to try on at least 6 dresses there.

I heard about RK bridal I have to check them out when i go dress shopping. I'm a plus size too and my boobs worry me. I'm scared of strapless but not many styles with straps are cute...very few

I wanted something with straps too, but for some reason, there weren't many in my budget lol, so I ended up with strapless, but I love my gown. I spent $650 on my dress at RK Bridal, budget was $700. You can always have your dress altered to add straps if you want. Or you can buy a nice shawl. If you do go to RK Bridal, go during the week if you can! It's a madhouse on the weekends.

I got my dress from Wedding Plaza in Floral Park at the Essense of Austrailia Trunk show and I thought they were great. My consultant (Luana) was very nice and really tried to help me figure out what I wanted and the seamstress seemed to know her stuff. It was not a plus-size trunk show so I can't comment on that, but they had a nice selection of regular dresses at the trunk show. Good luck! Also, definitely negotiate a little with them- besides the trunk show discount, I got free buttons!

I tried on dresses at The Wedding Plaza and had a wonderful experience. The ladies were so nice and they had a huge selection of dresses. They were even going to work with me on the price of a dress, but I found my dream dress elsewhere.
