So a lot of girls grow up just fantasizing about their wedding day....so my question is, are you planning the wedding you always imagined? how is it different? are you restricted because of the dreaded 'b' word (budget!)?

Yeah, actually, it really is turning out to be my 'dream' wedding! I mean certain things might be scaled down a bit, like flowers but that won't take away from it.

it's pretty much everything i've ever wanted. i really wanted to get married in newport, ri on the water in a mansion or castle type place when i was younger lol but that didn't happen.

so far its pretty close to what i imagined.. but i did imagine a giant ballroom all white n a few hints of gold... other than that im getting everything i wanted,,,,, including an aswome FH!!

I think I always knew I'd get married as a kid but I don't think I dreamed about specifics. In college I took this course called marriage and parenting and the only reason I took it was b/c you got to plan a wedding. My wedding is nothing like I put together for that class and I like that it's a surprise and watching all of the details unfold.

So far, I am having almost exactly the wedding I want. I never really planned it as a kid. I always thought my marriage would be like every other party my parents had - dad on the BBQ, mom making desserts. Put up some lights in the backyard.

But when I started envisioning my wedding, I have to say this is almost exactly what I wanted. The only thing I would change is if I had enough money I would buy out the whole venue so I could have the place just to myself and my guests.

My wedding is the dream I have had since I was a kid. I am spending alot more than I imagined it would cost but luckily fh taught me how to save. lol

I never actually thought about the wedding until he asked me to marry him. Never planned it in my head.

Did any of you ever see the episode of FRIENDS where Monica has the binders full of wedding ideas? I am the complete opposite of that.

I am becoming a bit bridezilla'ish about the uplighting. I just saw some pics where you can really see it from TWOTY and now I must have it.

My dream wedding was a fairytale.... And thats what I am trying to plan. To make it very very different to all the other weddings I've been to. I am sooooooo excited that I go to sleep with it, I wake up with it, and throughout the day thats all I think about lol. Do you girls have the same problem?????

ITA!!!!!!! i spend so much of every night not falling asleep that ive been going asleep EARLIER than usual so i know i can get so sleep by the time i really want to....

as far as my dream wedding....i always wanted to get married, and looked forward to a wedding when i was younger, but honestly i never had any ideas planned i just knew i wanted it to be BIG and fairytale...

then as i got older and saw my parents financial situation, i really thought i was going to only be able to have something small....

once i met Carl, i started dreaming up what our dream wedding would be, my parents ended up taking on MUCH more than i thought they'd be able to, and luckily FMIL is helping SO MUCH too....soooo we are getting everything we had hoped for!!!

i never thought about my wedding before i started dating my FH. now that im getting into the planning tho im so excited!!!! so far ive booked my RH thats it. and its definitley a dream

i always dreamed of the day I got married but I never thought of the details. I also didnt think i would have the budget i would no matter what happens it will be my dream wedding because I am marrying the best guy ever.

The wedding is pretty much everything I dreamed for and didnt think I could have. I assumed i wouldnt get a Sat night wedding or a band...but am having both!

hmmm.. I think I always wanted a destination wedding, but that was before I met my FH.

Now that I have, I've come to realize that our wedding day is meant to be spent with our whole family and not just those who can pay to travel. I'd be heartbroken if my grandparents weren't there, or if my MOH couldn't come because she wouldn't be able to find anyone to babysit for several days!

I would have to say yes it is pretty close. The only thing that is different is I always pictured getting married in a church that had a lot of steps on the outside- don't ask why, I just always thought churches like that were pretty. The church that I booked with has steps but not as many as I always dreamed, but it is an absolutely beautiful church!
