wedding registry

wedding registry

FH & I are trying to decide where to register......We only want to choose 2 stores. We are considering Fortunoff, Macys, Bed Bath & Beyond, Crate & Barrel, Target, and Bloomingdales..... Any opinions???

We like alot of things are each of these stores but we don't want to go overboard with too many registries!

although i would like to register at target, I heard a lot of items get discontinued more frequently.

Re: wedding registry

I would do one high end store (like Fortunoffs or Macys) and one budget store (like target or BBB)

I was just thinking the same thing...and you should make sure you don't register for the same thing at both stores....Like, you should probably focus on getting bath and bedding at one store, and kitchenware at another...so that you don't keep getting two of the same thing..

we're registered at Target and Fortunoff
best of both worlds!

BUT most of the 'good stuff' on our Target Registry is only available online

us too, though I think that Macy's is WAAAAY overpriced.

The thing I love about BB&B is the coupons, people will get you nicer gifts if you have one......

maybe I should just hand some out at the bridal shower

We chose fortunoff and linens and things... 2 reasons- one we liked the selection and two- fortunoff gives you 5% back on your gifts so that you can complete your registry (i think macys also does this) and we chose linens and things because they give you the largest discount after the wedding to complete your sets.

LNT is 20%, I think BBB is only 15%, not sure about the others

Thank you thank you...i'm half serious with that.

Seriously, i have sooooooo many of them at home I've been holding onto them since the last wedding I was in over a year ago. Back then I was asking everywhere and couldn't find one, so I just kept the ones I have. Now I must have over 50 sitting in my junk drawer at home. We usually get one every week in the sunday paper.

I wonder if thats tacky to give my sister a bunch when she's ready to send out shower invitations. I'd rather people save money on gifts than buying something they can't afford.

Thats actually a good idea. I wouldn't want my guests to overpay when I know they can get it for less
