Wedding Review

So I wanted to give a brief review especially for those brides getting married at North Ritz Club. Our wedding day was wonderful and I could not have done it without help from the LI Weddings ladies. Thankfully the weather held out on sunday so we could take pics outside. Since it rained so much on saturday, we had to have the ceremony indoors, but I was not disappointed. I was so excited to finally get married that I didn't care where I had the ceremony. I do not have any pics yet and we are leaving for Italy tomorrow, but I will post some ASAP.
NORTH RITZ CLUB- A+
This place really knows how to throw a wedding! The service was amazing, a few people said they were almost too attentive if that is even a complaint. Our maitre d, George made sure everything ran smoothly, and my bridal attendant was very sweet and helped me when my ringbearer decided to grab hold of my bustle and tear off some buttons! The food was delicious, I did not get to eat much and I missed most of my cocktail hour, but I had the chilean sea bass and it was great!
FLOWER MICHELE FLORIST - A+
All I need to say is WOW! My flowers were everything I envisioned and more. My bouquets and centerpieces were full,colorful, and just beautiful!

DANCEJOCK - A+
These guys were so much fun. My MC Hector did a fantastic job! He played and didn't play everything I asked him to. He also added little surprises throughout the day, like making my husband do a dance towards me before taking my garter off (thankfully he is a good sport and a good dancer), and doing a dance contest with boys vs girls.
NJL LIMOS - A+
We used them for my bachelorette/bachelor parties and for the wedding day. Limos were clean, showed up early, included liquor, and the drivers were very nice and knew where they were going without any help from us. We also used a rolls royce which was in very good condition.
SPELMAN STUDIOS PHOTOGRAPHY - A-
My photographer Carol was very sweet and I'm sure she took some great pics. We went to the Planting Fields Arboretum for wedding party pics,and were running a little late so I think we might have had more candid shots if we had more time. So my only complaint is that I may have more posed shots and less candids than I wanted. We will have to wait and see when the proofs come back. Otherwise they were very professional and fun to work with.
BELLARINO VIDEO- A+
I know this has been stated many times before but Phil and Kate are great people to work with. I know they got some great shots and even staged a few special things here and there to have on the video. I will have to let you know when I get the final product.
HAIR/MAKEUP- A+
My hair was done by my hairdresser who I have been using for over 10 years now and she did a great job. I used hair extensions for my wedding day and they looked so real. My makeup was done by Lori Ann who was recommended by Spelman. The makeup stayed all day and was subtle, not overpowering. I did not use airbrushing.
PINDAR- A+
I used full size wine bottles as favors and they put labels on them, placed them in cellophane bags tied with a bow. Very pretty.
LA PRODUCTIONS - A+
I used Laura for many different aspects of my wedding and so did my mom. Invites, placecards rose cones, recipe cards for my shower, gift bags for hotel rooms and everything came out beautiful with great attention to detail. She also made me a very pretty shadow box with my invitation that I displayed on my placecard table.

Well, that is all i can think of for now. I promise to post pics as soon as I can. Thanks again to all of the LI Weddings ladies and all of your helpful hints I have used to make my wedding day special.

Oh Yeah, I remembered another vendor
BURTON'S BRIDALS - B+
My main complaint about this place is that it is a small shop and the few girls working there get a bit overwhelmed at times and I didn't always feel like I was receiving the attention that I needed. I had to tell the seamstress when something on the dress wasn't laying right and I would think she should be telling me that. On a positive note my dress fit perfectly when the alterations were finally completed. It was a strapless dress and I didn't have to pull it up all night( i have no boobs), and my bustle stayed well until my ringbearer pulled on it, easily fixed with a safety pin( don't forget your emergency kits!). Also my veil and headpiece were included and I thought it was beautiful.

Thanks for the review of North Ritz! Sounds like it was wonderful!!! We are meeting with George in a week to do menue stuff. Can't wait!!! Have fun in Italy!
