wedding ring question

how long before the wedding should you order the wedding rings?

I've had a very short engagement, so I've been looking for a couple of weeks (I've been very picky) and most people are telling me I have a 'little bit of time' ALthough, the guy that I think I will order my ring from has to modify it and says it'll take about three weeks. And that's with Christmas figured in. I don't think it really takes that long, unless you're really undecided about what you want (like me) and need lots of time to look, or if you want something really elaborate.

i got mine over a year before! i LOVED this ring before i was even engaged..so i started paying it off shorlty after we got engaged, and its been paid off for a while sitting in a safe. i think you should look whenever you feel like it, because you can see what you love and even design something you like.

Are you picking one out or having yours custom made? We are having mine custom made and already designed it - but that's only because our jeweler is in Florida and we were down there - my FI was easy - he saw one, tried it on, and I bought it! It really shouldn't take that long though.

We had gone for ours about 2 months ago. It took a few weeks to get it in..(we had gone to a wholesaler)

it depends. a few weeks to a month and a half I think is enough. We went last week for our w-rings and I found one I liked that fit and I took it home that day. FH's will come in next weekend. This was at Tri-county flea market and seems that most of the vendors are the same in timeliness.
