Thats nuts... But not surprising. These ppl who are robbing them are going to the wealthier areas where they know they are not gonna have to work hard to get a nice big expensive ring... Scary!

Yikes- that is terrible
Definitely get your ring insured....with the nice weather, muggings in my neighborhood have gotten common again. I always keep my hand in my coat pocket when I walk home from work!

OMG thats horrible!! im a paranoid nut as it is when i am in parking lots but to be afraid in your own house is krazy
i work in roslyn and i know last summer we used to have to lock the entrance dr bc people were breaking into houses and robbing them.

So so horrible. I would in the south bronx and RARELY wear my ring to work....it stinks that its just sitting on the ring base at home, but better than getting mugged
