Thats nuts... But not surprising. These ppl who are robbing them are going to the wealthier areas where they know they are not gonna have to work hard to get a nice big expensive ring... Scary!

I usually wear the duplicate unless I'm going out somewhere where I know (or so I think) it's safe. My sister's co-worker went on vacation and had it stolen from her room! It's so sad that we would even have to think about it but if my ring ever got stolen my FH and I would be devastated (the diamond has been in his family for decades).
