Wedding Rings

Wedding Rings

Just curious where people got their (men's) wedding ring... I've looked around and most of the places i've been to have the same crappy designs. I'm not into jewlery and like something low key (no diamonds or anything too bling bling) but not looking for a plain band either.. i was looking into titanium bands at one point bc they're not as shiny as gold/platinum but i've read about issues resizing them.

I was thinking about heading into the diamond district in the city but hate pushy salespeople. Already checked out a place in Westbury (Jewelry place next to Century 21 dept store) and Tri-county but didnt see anything i liked.

TIA for suggestions.

sorry to crash the groom's board... but my fh and I have been looking at a few rings and you seem to have similar tastes. He also wants something that's low key and diamond free, but not just plain, and not too shiny...

have you considered looking at some of the hammered textured rings? something like the ones here:
http://www.isabeljewelry.com/hammeredbands.html

you can also actually get gold (or white gold) with a matte finish... possibly platinum as well.

I don't know what other kinds of things you're into... we've been looking at celtic knot rings (he's half Irish) like these:

That kind of style, with a simple (stone free) band that has a border and some kind of pattern or something down the middle really appeals to him, like these:

so, yeah. I don't know if anything in their appeals to you.

As for where to look... I've honestly been looking online. Like you, pushy sales people annoy the heck out of me, and he bought my engagement ring online, which I am really pleased with, and he ended up paying much less for it than he probably would have in a retail store. Rings in retail stores, even without stones, are pretty darn expensive.

If you're not comfortable with looking online... I'm not sure... I don' t know where you live... There's only one jewelry store I'm considering going to because it's owned by a friend of my mom's so I know he'll treat us right.

good luck!

We got mine at Zales. I wanted something low key, but not too plain. most of my jewelry is both white and yellow gold. I got a band like it. It has two yellow gold strips outside, and a white gold strip in the middle.
