Wedding Rings

Opinion poll: How many of you are planning to get a wedding band that *matches* your engagement ring?

This question applies best to those of you who do not have a solitaire engagement ring with a plain band.

Additional Question: Should the 2 rings meet flush against one another?

Jewelers seem to be on the fence about this question. Some say that you want the look of 2 separate rings (a space in between) because you are married and want to show it off, and some say it looks nice to have the two rings meet flush against one another...

I suppose it comes down to personal choice. I just wanted to know what you all thought

My wedding band compliments my engagement ring

Re: Wedding Rings

i got a ring that is a similar style to the band on my e-ring...i tried on the matching band to the e-ring & felt like you didn't notice it...plus i loved the uniqueness of the wedding band i got ...i like how it looks alone or with my e-ring. I do like when the rings sit flush but that's just my taste. (more pics in Ring album)

My e-ring has a matching band. It won't sit flush but I don't think I'll mind.

My e-ring is antique and I couldn't imagine anyone making anything to match it. So I'm moving it to the right hand and getting a wedding band that has a similar feel.

Sorry - I just put the deposit so I have to show it off.

OMG that is gorgeous and very similar to what I'm looking for!

I'm planning to do the same, my e-ring is a little unusual and I like it by itself.

Actually no - I tried once and it came out really blurry. I'll have FH try again tonight! Thank you!

Re: Wedding Rings

i am getting mine custom made to sit flush against my e ring. it will be the same band. it has to get custom made because i have a 3 stone emerald cut.... however... i love that band posted earlier... that may be a nice idea?? hmmmm

Re: Wedding Rings

I haven't picked mine out yet but I think I'm going to have to get something custom made, because I have an emerald cut stone and it sticks down pretty far.. needless to say mine won't sit flush against it.

I don't really like baguettes, which are a a popular accent to emerald cuts, so mine isn't going to match but I want it to complement it.

I would say mine are complimentary, but some jewelers say they match:

Yay ring twin! I love them so much, favorite thing I wear every day!
Best compliment I get, 'So classic' I bet you hear it all the time

Re: Wedding Rings

We're getting our bands in a few weeks but I went to the jewelry store last month to narrow down my selections.

I really like my simple solitaire engagement ring. I've never worn a ring before in my life so the simpler, the better for me!

Re: Wedding Rings

I like the way it looks when they match JMO...So even though my rings wont sit flush together I am going to get the matching band and wear them on the same finger. There is going to be a little space inbetween, but thats ok.
