My FH ring was around 600 its platinum thick band. My ring doesn't match really but looks great together. I have a radiant cut square with begets on either side. I got an eternity wedding band with princess cut stones. looks great together. I think it depends on your look but I do not thinkthey need to match. HTH

Re: Wedding Rings
We payed 2300 for both. Only because we splurged on his ring. Looks similar to the above ring posted, but it has 2 carat. Mine is .5 carat, but has a crushed look to it so it looks more. His was 1500 mine was 795. So he has more bling than me now! (well almost )

Re: Wedding Rings
Good price is hard to say. Depends on the carat and the gold and the cut and clarity and all that other stuff.
We got a good price on a 2 carat for him....the color was good, but there were blemishes when you look close at the diamonds with that eye thingy. So not the greatest quality...but neither of us are gemologists....all we know is that it was sparkly...and less than other prices we were getting for less diamonds.
Go shop around Tri-county. They have tonsssssss of booths, and they will negotiate price with you. Thats where we got my ring and band from. We got his elsewhere.

Re: Wedding Rings
I paid 1400 for my ring last year and it matches my e-ring. We should have put a downpayment on FH ring as well. I think gold is up over $1500 an ounce right now. That is more than double what it was 2 years ago so things may seem pricey.

Re: Wedding Rings
My band cost $800 and FH cost $400. Mine is black and white diamonds, 1/2 eternity, and definitely does not match my e-ring, but I didn't want it to be all matchy matchy!
Fh's band is titanium with a couple small diamonds in it.

Re: Wedding Rings
i looked at my 'dream ring' which was veryyy blingy as well as the band that matches my e-ring and both were about $3k which i thought was which we did not budget for. so we walked away and will have to make our decision soon....

Re: Wedding Rings
We purchased my custom wedding band for $2,600. It was supposed to be $ 3,500 but the jeweler took a lot off so we were very happy. FH is getting his band for $300.
He didn't want a bling band or anything expensive since he will wear it when he's not working.

Ours cam to 3300. Mine a custom insert almost 2 ct and matches my ering and fh has has .7 cts mine was 2450 at kristins fh was 850 at tri county
Our rings kind of match eachother and my jewelty took money off after he allowed me to return my ex fiances wedding band for full value which brought my ring down to the price above.

Re: Wedding Rings
We spent a total of about 3000 -- my band was around 2000 (platinum diamond eternity band) and his is just a plain platinum band (he wanted something simple)
We also got another band for me -- a very thin platinum plain band -- that i can wear to work or on vacation when i leave my diamonds at home
