My FH and I are really trying hard to not go over board with wedding stuff. I think wedding rings is a place where this could happen, so I am trying to nip it in the bud ASAP.
Anyways...someone mentioned people get their wedding rings from flea market jewelers. Has anyone done this? Can anyone recommend a specific jeweler?
Thanks!

Why don't you try Zales. Look online they always have sales and maybe you can even finance it.

Re: Wedding Rings on a Budget
We got our wedding rings from Turkan Jewelers in the Tri-County Flea Market. 2nd floor, get off the escalator and they are the last booth on the left wall on the the left side. The owners name is Mark. He is an older man. VERY NICE people! DH'd family has bought from them for years. They used to own a private store and then once he got older he couldn't take care of the business anymore. They they closed the shop and opened up a booth in Tri County. They have great prices and beautiful rings (DH got my e-ring there too).

Re: Wedding Rings on a Budget
My FH and I have already gotten our wedding rings because we had them blessed by a priest at our engagement party. We went to the diamond district in Manhattan (near Rockefeller Center)...you can find great deals there on all types of jewelry because there are SO many vendors in one place. Plus, you can haggle down the price, too.
We went with very simple 14K white gold bands...no external etchings, designs or stones, just a simple gold band for each of us (in our opinion, it's timeless that way). Mine was very thin (I have thin fingers) and cost $100, his was about double the width of mine and cost $200...and the price included engraving. We paid cash, so they didn't charge us taxes, either.
If you go there, keep in mind that most places are closed on Saturdays (usually open on Sundays), and on weekdays most places close by 5pm.
Good luck!!

Re: Wedding Rings on a Budget
Two Ideas: Keep it simple. You could obviously get off easy by getting simple bands. If you'd like to one day get something with more etchings, diamonds, etc. that option is always open.
Another suggestion would be to keep your eyes open for places that sell estate jewelry. I was looking for a 1920s style ring and that was the only place I could find what I liked. As a bonus, the price was super-reasonable. You may be able to find what you want for a very reduced price. Unfortunately, I got my ring in North Carolina so I can't help you with specifics.

Re: Wedding Rings on a Budget
We actually got our rings yesterday at Herricks Jewelers on Jericho Tpke in Garden City Park in the Walbaums shopping center. We love the rings that we picked out and are paying about $400 each for them.
Whatever anyone does, do not go to Markens in Roosevelt Field. Awful service. My engagement ring is from there. It has literally broken in half twice! Had a missing stone already, etc. My fiance spent a ton of money on it and it is beautiful but their work on the ring was shoddy and their service was the worst. The second time my ring broke I brought it to Herricks and they fixed it properly, No problems since. Great service there, helpful staff.

Re: Wedding Rings on a Budget
overstock.com does have a ton of options that are all budget friendly... its worth checking out as we found rings we liked on there (but ended up purchasing from JcPenney's during a mega-sale with coupons and all that stuff)
