I made my first appointment to go dress shopping on 8/21 at The Wedding Salon in Manhasset
I was just curious if anyone has had previous experience with them (good or bad) and was also curious about what price range their dresses start at (I know they can go very high).
Thanks!

I got my gown there and had an amazing experience everything was wonderful there! You can't go wrong!
I would go ahead and say its one of the premier gown shops on the island

Veryyyy nice!!! Even with my 2 yr old nephew running around smudging the mirrors!!! I wish I remembered who was helping me...she was so sweet! And honestly gave me EVERY style imaginable until I found the dress that none other compared to! I ended up buying it at Saks...but the wedding salon was such a positive experience. Make sure you go during a trunk show. I went during a Kenneth Pool

I was just there--it was amazing! It was the first place I went to try on dresses and I loved everything about it. You should be very excited!
Good luck! It's a tough choice...I'm still undecided.

i bought my dress there, and had a fantastic experience. i hit a ton of traffic coming out from the city, so was super late, but they didn't rush me at all. stayed an hour past closing!
just had my first fitting a few weeks ago, and they were so nice. let me stand and just look at myself for 10 minutes.
also got BM dresses there, and they gave a nice discount.
would HIGHLY recommend.

Re: Wedding Salon of Manhasset
I bought my dress and the bridesmaid's dresses there and have had a great experience! They have an amazing selection of gorgeous gowns. The customer service is really good and everyone is sweet and helpful. I have my final fitting this Thursday, but so far all of the alterations have gone well. As for price, some of the gowns do go very high, but they also have a number of dresses on sale and they have trunk shows where you can get 15% off. I actually bought my dress for 50% off!
Good luck !

Who was everyone's consultant there? I am hoping to get a more seasoned one when I experience the Wedding Salon!

From my understanding they are one of the more pricier salons with excellent service.
I went to Kleinfelds instead of there.

Re: Wedding Salon of Manhasset
When I went the woman said something that bothered me a bit. I was expressing that I wanted the waist fitted because I wanted an hourglass silhouette and the one saleswoman said to the other 'Keep making it tighter, she wants to look emaciated.' She was probably trying to be funny, but it made me a bit uncomfortable. I thought it wasn't very nice.

Mine was Rosemary. She pulled a dress for me that I would have never tried on my own. Ended up being 'the one!'

But I have to add, they kept suggesting dresses until I stopped them, so that was nice.

Re: Wedding Salon of Manhasset
love them!
The service there has been excellent. They let me try on whatever I wanted, never felt rushed or pressured at allllll. they stayed late when I had a hard time deciding
my saleswoman came in on her day off so my fam could see the dress
i could go on and on, they are wonderful!
andddd when I told them I canceled my wedding date...they told me not to worry, they'd hold my deposit indefinitely and that I could use it towards anything else in the store if need be
unlike some other weddings salons *cough, cough princess bridals* they rip the deposits away from you without even blinking
