Wedding Salon/Vera Wang Manhasset brides

When I spoke to Wedding Salon about 2 weeks ago, they said my dress was scheduled to SHIP out of Vera Wang 'mid-July'.
Since Manhattan to Manhasset is probably a 1 or 2 day delivery, I'm guessing I will get a call by Friday the 17, maybe next Monday or Tuesday at LATEST..

Here's my question: How soon after your dress comes in do you go for your 1st fitting?
Do they want you to come in immediately to inspect the gown, or wait until closer to your wedding date?

(I ask because I'm so excited and anxious over seeing it and trying to plan out a date for the fitting, and coordinate my 2 MOH to come and be there with me.)

Most times you will go in to see the gown if ou want but fittings shouldnt generall start until 2 months before at the earliest!

I went in to demetrios to try it on just because i was excited...not to 'inspect' per se...Im not sure how vera works

I'm so excited Lauren that I could peel paint off the walls waiting to see it I can barely sleep knowing that it's coming in soon.!

awww so you should go in just to try it on! Then id wait wait wait for fittings

I went ASAP to try on the my gown at Wedding Salon.

It was a good feeling watching them unwrap it in front of me making sure it was brand new and the right color and size.
And then i tried it on, but made another appt for my first fitting. Wedding salon will accommodate you in a way you can not believe.
Whenever i drive by wedding salon i am So incredibly sad that i will never get to go in there again. It was truely the best experience ever!

Eeee, Jen, I am probably getting my call around the same time as you!!! I am going to go just to see the dress as soon as it comes in!! I am sooooo excited. I just hope I love it as much as I did when I ordered it. It has been over a year since I saw the thing!

I feel the exact same way~I ordered it in December, and tried on a similar version of my dress in March when I ordered my veil, but I still have yet to see MY dress in the right color and fabric. Nail biting!! I want to call them so bad and make a tentative appointment for next Thursday, but I think that's jumping the gun too much.
But AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!

The Wedding Salon called me ASAP when it arrived and scheduled my first fitting within the next 2 weeks...they were really good about having you see your dress ASAP!

I am going to be the EXACT same way!!!! I can't wait to see my dress... I've never seen it in the right color!! The one I tried on was dingy and not the same color I ordered.... so it's hard and nerve wracking... so I understand how you feel totally!!!

I went the next day lol! But only because well... you know why! LOL! But I was just going to go to see it to make sure everything was OK. Then the girl said you should just do a fitting when you come to check it out so I did.
