alright girls...so I have been to DSW, 2 Marshall's, the entire SMithhaven Hall, a couple shoe places in Patchogue and Davids Bridal. I cannot find shoes anywhere!!! I am getting really frusterated! I don't want to buy shoes online but I am not a fan of heals and want to be able to try them on. Any suggestions on where else to go? I need them soon bc I have to do the hem on my dress. Any suggestions would be extremely apprecciated! TIA!

I just went to Sandy's to check out shoes for my mother since she's a pain in the .... They had ONE pair similar to the heel you are looking for if I remember correctly, since my mom is looking for the same type of thick heel. She doesn't want a kitten heel (they had tons of that at Sandy's) as she's not used to heels and has had bad feet recently.
They don't look that comfortable to be honest, just regular dyeable shoes, but they, or similar are there! Sorry I didn't pay that much attention to style just the heel part!
they also had one pair of wedge type shoes if you're interested in that.
Good luck! Please let me know if you find anything nice somewhere else as I need a pair for my mom as well!
Thanks sooo much for the info! And I definitely will!

Did you try Sandy's shoes in Massapequa? They have a decent selection.

Re: wedding shoes
I work near Lord & Taylor on 5th Ave. and they have a large selection. I ended up buying my shoes here.
I know you said you prefer in store. But I would suggest going on zappos and ordering few pairs. I found my first pair on there but ended up liking the L&T ones better. You can search by heel height and they have a fantastic return policy. Buy 5 pairs and hopefully one will work!
ZAPPOS all the way!!! I understand the hesitation of buying online but they offer free shipping both ways! How can you beat that! And if you don't know which size order the same shoe in both! To date, I have ordered 16 different pairs of shoes - I have kept 2! But I am still looking as they have a full year to return things! They really are great!
