wedding showcase

I was just wondering if anyone is going to the wedding showcase at the Watermill on June 25th?

is it worth the time? If you havent booked a venue yet - yes

I am definately partial to Watermill since we are having our reception there. We went to one they had last year and found our band. At the showcase they have a sample of their cocktail hour set up and a wedding cake and veniese sample. You might also see some vendors your interested in. I would go again but I will be out of town.

I thought it was for all the different places and florists and photo - etc...I have booked my place already and just need the DJ, photo and video now...

Sorry I wasn't very clear. They will have a variety of vendors at the showcase. When we went they had 4 or 5 photographers, some videographers, a few tux vendors, a DJ or two, a band (which we booked)a few florists, some limo companies (we are probably going to use one we met with that night) and some others. That was the only showcase we went to so I cant compare it, but we had fun and found some vendors so it was worth the ride and the time for us.

I have gone once before and they have various vendors, including dj. Also one of two of the dj actually give a live demonstration.

We are also having my reception at the Watermill. We absolutely fell in love with the place. When are you getting married and which room do you have?

We are getting married Sept 14th. Its getting close! We have the room on the main level I forget the name -(maybe its Astor?) Our cocktail hour will probably be in those two garden looking rooms the rooms with the two sided fireplace. We have the option of the patio but since its a Friday we aren't starting until 8:00 so it will probably be too dark. I haven't seen the grounds lit, but they say they look beautiful. I'm sure they do because the Scotto's don't skimp on anything. What about you? Have you used Samantha at all?

I am getting married in Nov & we have the downstairs room and your room is our cocktail room. The grounds are beautiful. I haven't used Samantha, have you? I am going to go to the showcase and see what she has. I can't wait I have heard nothing but great things.

I haven't used Samantha at all either, she called a few weeks ago to see if I needed favors or invitations. She was very nice. Have you seen the grounds lit up?

I have seen the front of the place lit up, but not the back. I am sure it is beautiful. Are you going to use Samantha for anything? Like I said I am going to see what its all about on Monday. Keep me updated with anything relating to the Watermill and I will do the same. Happy planning!

I girl in my office had her wedding at Watermill in March. She was telling me that she used Samantha for the favors and she was cheaper than any favor places she went to. The other good thing is that you don't have to worry about bringing them to the Watermill a few days before the wedding when you go there to pay and bring the placecards, etc because they will already be there.
