Hey guys-sorry if I am posting something thats been asked before but I don't see a search option to do keyword searches for what I want.
I need song isdeas for the first dance. Are there good websites out there with wedding song ideas where you can also listen to music clips of the song?

I think this very site has a section with first dance song names on it....click on planning up top and then there's a section for wedding songs!

also, if you google 'wedding songs' or 'wedding first dance' you'll find a billion songs out there.
that's what i did.... then ended up that dh chose the song, so i didn't even have to do it. oh, well.

Hey GettinHitched-Thanks for the info about the site-sooooo amazingly helpful. What FH and I decided to do since we both are kinda out of the loop as far as music goes, is compile a CD from the songs whose lyrics we liked and then we will listen to whole thing and decide from there.
So far we love this one song by lifehouse-Everything lol because its in SMALLVILLE-silly we know but its 'our show' because he loves Superman and he always jokes he is my superman.

You could do a search of popular wedding songs. And then listen to it on itunes or kazaa.
Also, think of songs that mean something to you and FH, maybe a song with a bit of history for the both of you...THat might help with your search, so this way you don't have to drive yourself crazy

Yea our main issue is we dont go anywhere lol.He doesn't dance so we don't have 'a song' except for the smallville one. BAH! Now I have to find a song to dance with my dad...oye!

think of what you would like for the song to say...People pick songs based on the similarity of their relationship and what they have been through...Maybe make a post saying a couple things you would like for the song to be about and the message you are looking for...I am sure many girls on here would come up with great suggestions.

It'll come to you, just have to research a bit and that will probably get annoying...Fi and i knew what song we wanted before we even got engaged...but theres alot of songs that i thought were great and if we didnt have that one song, would be perfect wedding songs. Just depends on what you want the song to say.
