Wedding song rejects

Original post by SummerBride10

Anyone else have a bunch of songs that you considered for your wedding but decided it against because:

1- you found a better song
2- FH didnt like it
3- you didnt feel it was a 'wedding song'
4- someone you know used it

I have a bunch of songs, I liked/wanted but in the end we found a song we both love and thought was perfect for our wedding song.

The ones I liked that I think are sweet wedding songs:

'Here I Am'- Leona Lewis (FH didnt like)
'My Best Friend'- Tim McGraw (FH didnt like)
'Lucky'- Jason Mraz & Colbie Cailait (to me it wasn't a 'wedding song')

im gonna get crucified for this... i know... but there is a song by Ricky Martin...'she's all i ever had'

within the song there are some really cool words 'she's the air i breathe'... the basis of our tattoos (for the people that dont know, FW and i have matching tattoos on our wrists, saying 'Amore e l'aria che respiro', which means 'love is the air i breathe' in italian)

he goes on to sing 'it's the way she makes me feel, it's the only thing thats real, it's the way she understands, she's my lover she's my friend....'

the thing is... the song is about a guy who wants his ex-girlfriend back. so it's not correct for a wedding song. but further more... i would never want to say my wedding song is by Ricky Martin.

feel me?

Yeah, besides you know deep down its prob about 2 guys...

Ours will probably be 'Angel' by Aerosmith. It has a significant meaning to our relationship and was a significant part of our first date. It's actually probably the reason we even had a second date.

We were going to use 'each day gets better' by john legend but its a bit uptempo so we would have to practice and I am not into that...

lol. i actually know that he is gay for a fact. sorry jackie, but i used to date a girl, whose brother worked for Sony... and his job was to take artists to their appearences. so like if Mark Anthony was doing a signing, it was his job to make sure the crowd was controlled, get him water if he wanted it... escort him to the bathroom...etc. i got to meet a few people such as Mark Anthony, Mariah Carey many times, Ricky Martin (he is as gay as they come, trust me)..

I had no problem picking our wedding song. About 3 months after we started dating. FH said to me 'You are truely a love of a lifetime', well that was it. Love of a Lifetime- I know its corney!
I am having problems picking out entrance song though

We had picked our song way before we got engaged, wo both loved it...Heaven by Bryan Adams

BUT then we went to a DJ appt and the man asked what our song was and I told him. FH was like 'what song is that?' I almost fainted

The man played the song and FH said 'Wow I really like that song'. No kidding!!! That's why WE picked it!!
