Wedding Spam Rant

Has anyone else gotten sooo much wedding spam- I keep getting emails from local vendors- a florist this time and its seriously ticking me off.

I got one this morning and it was sent to like 50 people and all the email addresses were listed in the to field- so now a whole bunch of strangers have my email address & know I am getting married- thats got to be illegal

Anyone else getting this junk mail?

YES AND I CAN'T STAND IT.

I even get mail at home. I mean come on. I went to one Bridal Show and I think from putting my # address and email. They have lost there mind. LOL

Yes i get email and mail!!! Where the heck do they find us!! I even get sent stuff on myspace!!

Yep! I get e-mails, mail and phone calls. One DJ called me after I had met with him in Oct., and I told him I wanted to see other DJ's before making my decision. They called me again the day before Thanksgiving, and again when my mom was in critical condition in the hospital in December. I told them it was NOT A GOOD TIME, and I would call them IF AND WHEN I decided on them...well they called again last week....I mean COME ON! Needless to say I LOST IT ON THEM, and I hope they will not be calling me again

I get emails, mail, and phone calls and it is extremely annoying. They should not be sending you anything without you opting to recieve it. Actually your name shouldn't be released to these vendors...especially where email and phone calls are concerned without your consent or pre-existing relationship with them, because of the Spam and telemarketing laws that are in place now. If an opt-in or opt-out is not provided a company can get in a lot of trouble and pay fines.

I just don't remember if when I signed up for theknot.com and this site if I elected to recieve 'communications' from their partners....opt-in or opt-out. So I just hit spam on the emails, don't pick up an unrecognizeable number, and shred all the mail.

I gave my old email address because when I first signed up I had nine billions e-mails. I've since stopped using the account. I still have it in case I need it but I got sick of sifting through what was really important. I use gmail and it's the best e-mail with spam. Good luck!

i knew that when i registered that i would be getting 100000 junk emails, phone calls and mail. so i put my mom's info down. poor moM!

Yeah, I get all that stuff too. The emails don't really annoy me too much, they are easy to delete. Its the phone calls that get under my skin.

Yes, not only that. But i keep receiving mail from vendors all over the place. Its ridiculous.

Yes and I just keep unsubscribing from this stuff. It's so annoying! I think the person that sent out your email screwed up by not putting your emails in the BCC section!

I get phone calls ALL THE TIME on my cell and home phones. When I pick up they hang up, then call back and usually wait until I don't pick up and leave a message. I get e-mail, regular mail, flyers.

And it's all from joining this site, because I have not gone to ANY bridal shows.
