Wedding Studio Pictures

Is anyone taking wedding pictures in a studio before the wedding? Does anyone still do this or was it something from our parents' era? I wasn't planning on doing this, but was wondering if anyone else is.

Hi. My photographer suggested we do this also. I'm getting married in the evening and I can't get into the catering hall until an hour before the guests arrive, because of the earlier wedding. I'm not thrilled with this idea either but because it's a December 1st wedding, it may be too cold to take pictures outdoors.

In the south, its pretty common for the bride to do a portrait in the studio in full wedding regalia several weeks before the wedding.

I don't think anyone does this now but maybe?

I went to one photographer that said he had a portable studio...also I think the Fox Hollow has a studio that you can use if you get married there....maybe other halls do as well??
