Wedding thank you

At the last wedding I went to, they sent out Non-personalized thank you'd. It was a nice collage of their wedding pictures, very nice. I am considering doing this for my wedding. Is it okay to send non personalized thank yous? It's New York, everyone gives money anyway.

I sent hand written thank yous for my shower.

Wedding thank you

my cousin did this for his wedding and I liked it, it didnt bother me but sometimes old school/older people will be offended. Could you do the picture collage and then maybe add a little extra note for those people?

Wedding thank you

I don't think it's ever okay to send generic thank yous with no handwritten, personalized note in them. Your guests are going to spend time and money to attend your wedding. Especially those traveling. And getting cash and checks doesn't change the sentimental value of the gift. They're giving you money to start your new life together. I think a personalized thank you is the least we can all do to thank them. Yeah it'll take more time and it'll be a pain in the butt, but guests will really appreciate it. Kay, I'm off my soap box now lol

Wedding thank you

I agree with the PP. We hand wrote over 100 thank you notes, about 5 per day.

My opinion is that a generalized pre-printed thank you is very impersonal and generic. The people we invited to our wedding are important to us, and we felt they deserved a hand-written note to show our appreciation.
