So yesterday my mother asked if I picked a wedding theme yet and I had no idea what to think of it. I picked my color scheme (which is gonna be lavender or like a light purple and yellow) but I have no idea what to do for a theme. I think I would like to do one so I was wondering if you girls had a theme for your wedding that you could share or any ideas that could go with my colors or a spring wedding (getting married in May 2010). Thanks!

I didn't mean to have a theme but I sort of think I do. Everything I seem to pick is classic with a twist or simultaneously classic and contemporary. For example, my dress is modern looking but my jewelry is antiquey..... The music at my cocktail hour is going to hopefully be a string quartet but they play music like the Pussy Cat Doll's 'Don't you wish your girlfriend was hot like me? (which I hate in real life but it sounds awesome on the violin). My gm tuxes are going to be brown instead of black. I don't know if this counts as a theme but its all a bit different while still being very close to being traditional... Oh, and my first dance song is going to be Captain and Tennile's Love Will Keep Us Together.... an oldie but very off beat as a first dance song.

My color is clover green and white, we are getting married in March, originally I wanted to do an Irish theme since we are both Irish and its St Pattys Day month, but just going for a Spring theme, spring flowers, spring green.

We're doing a creamy yellow with pale sage greenish or celadon...my favorite flowers are yellow roses... and everything has crystals!! I love bling!! I even 'blinged' up my bubbles!! This bride thing has made me a little wacky!! So no theme, except bling!!

Well, I am sort of going with things that we both love. I have my color scheme, but then I have the table numbers as bands that me and FH love. Each table will be a different band, (Example: Table #1 will be the Metallica Table.) Then our favors are coffe mugs and with little packets of hot cocoa with a little snow couple on it.
I guess I don't really have a theme, other than just a culmination of what both FH and I love.

If I was you with Lilac I would incorporate butterflies....I wanted so very badly to do that butterfly fly away thing....but can't really do that in november. I think that would be a great theme.

My colors are mainly yellow and white with pops of purple and the theme just kinda happened-
i picked what i liked in centerpieces which is like a grass look with wild flowers, very rustic. And i'm getting married at country gardens- so my theme has become Gardens & Flowers......
You can definetly do garden or flowers..... another thing i wanted to incorporate is fruit- so you can do summer fruit as the theme. (use lemons in CP's)
