So I got a catalog in the mail from exclusively weddings, and they have beautiful standing table numbers. I love them and they go perfectly with my centerpieces but they are $16 a number! Its so expensive for something that I would never use again!!

another suggestion...I am doing frames on each table with a picture of me & fh with the table number written across it. I found gorgeous glass frames at my local dollar store for 75 cents each...now thats a deal!

I totally sympathize with you!!!
I got so frustrated this weekend that I told my mother that our reception was going to be giving out a donut to each guest as they leave the church. LOL
As much as I'd love to do something really original, I'll probably just stick to whatever numbers the RH uses.

Don't stress!! You can definitely find cheaper alternatives including making it yourself!!
I second the idea of going to the dollar store and searching for creative ways of making table numbers.

I would use the wedding to try some creative things. Remember that you get married once and most of the stuff will get thrown out. Take the time to make some stuff and they will come out better then the store bought items.

here is my eparty table #'s. i bought frames from IKEA ( 4 for $1.25) and the tiffany blue paper from ac moore ($.79 made 4) and printed the numbers out on reg paper. so there are def cheaper ways to do it and still make it look good.
the word wedding makes anything more expensive. My gym has a brides package for working with a trainer, i looked it up and then regular training sessions, it was about $1500 difference! The bridal package came with like a duffle bag and water bottle-so ridiculous!

I swear by Michaels they have everything for everything & there is always a sale there. Check in your sunday paper for Michael's Craft Store coupns & see whats up for sale. You can diy! totally!

I totally agree with the 09 girls. That is a lot to spend on table numbers. I thinking making them yourself or shopping around would be a much better alternative. If you need more ideas please let me know and I will do some searching to make sure you find something that matches your theme perfectly. I know how important it is for these little things to match and there is no reason why they don't have to. Let me know if you want more suggestiongs. The Knot has a ton.
