has anyone ever seen the bride give a toast to the groom or vice versa? i really would like to thank my FH during the reception - something short and sweet - i just want him to know how much i appreciate everything that he has done, and thank him for giving me such a nice wedding (even though we are both paying and planning he has gone above and beyond to give me everything and anything that i have ever wanted) i tell him this all the time, but i think it might be more special if i have something nice to say in front of everyone at the wedding - i dont think he would expect me to ever do something like that and i think it would make him feel good....good idea or no?

Re: wedding toasts
I think that sounds like a really nice idea and a very sweet gesture on your part, which I think he would really appreciate! I think it has become more popular for brides and grooms, and even MOHs to give toasts at the wedding. I don't plan too though!

Re: wedding toasts
Nicole I am going to say GO FOR IT because I am debating doing the same thing haha
I really want to thank FH for all he has done and sort of thank him and tell him how much I appreciate him after all we have been through! Especially since we started dating when he left for the Marine Corps 4 yrs ago. It's been hard not having him home and I want to tell him how much I appreciate him and love him and tell him he was worth every bit of waiting!!! And I wouldnt change it for the world!!!
