Wedding tonight!

Hi ladies! Many of you know that I am heading to a wedding tonight at the Maplewood Country Club in NJ.

I'll report back! I'm psyched! I got my hair done a little bit ago - its all up and curly - I don't know HOWWWW she did it considering my hair is BARELY chin length!

I got my fur stole and my 1940's style jewelry! A little red lipstick and a lotta glam baby!

I gotta develop my film now - I'm such a loser - I think I'm the only person out there that still uses disposable cameras. I'll have them posted tomorrow!

But the wedding was nice. For the girls with a winter/snowflake theme, you will LOVE the centerpieces. I took extra pics of them! No flowers - just silverish branches with votives hanging off them. It was really beautiful.

things I loved:

1. Their band! WOW WOW WOW. Seriously made me rethink getting a band vs. dj. Hank Lane (I think?) I asked the groom about it (he's one of FH's friends), he told me that they cost over 10K

2. They had a vodka luge thing. They had 4 different kinds of flavord vodka, and they poured whichever one you wanted through the ice luge and into shot glasses. Big hit with everyone

3. Dinner! It was great! Filet, seabass, or chicken

Things I wasn't a fan of: (please don't get annoyed if you are doing any of these things - everyone has their own taste)

1. seating chart. In theory this is a really nice idea, but everyone was crowded around the board and I think some of the older guests were having a hard tme trying to read it.

2. Cocktail hour. There was SO much food (which IS a good thing...), but they didn't have NEARLY enough space for their 250 guests to eat it. People were walking around carrying their plates. I couldn't even eat any because I had my purse in one hand, and my drink in the other. There were about 4 tables for 250 guests. But FH said that the cocktail hour food was great! They had a sushi station, a jumbo shrimp station, a carving station with lamb, veal, and turkey, a mexican station, and some other ones, I'm sure!

3. Not enough chairs for guests at the ceremony. Older people were standing in the back of the room for the entire ceremony. I thought it was terrible.

4. Pictures of themselves throughout the cocktail hour room, etc. No one noticed them. It was a nice touch, but I don't think anyone even noticed them (except for me who was doing my research! ).

Overall though it was nice! I'll post pics asap!

Ooh!! And now that I think about it........there were no favors!! At all! And no mention of 'We're donating money in honor of....'

Wow -hmm. I don't know what I think about that. COnsidering that I didn't notice it until now, I guess maybe favors aren't as 'necessary' as I thought. But sitting here, I'm a little bit annoyed by it!
