So my FH has a huge group of friends. A very large group from High school and a large group from college. As it is he is having 8 groomsman and i am having 6BM. He asked if he could have his other friends (about 4-6) to act as ushers at the wedding so that they can feel included since they aren't part of the actual wedding party. I think this will be nice. What do you think? Also, would they wear tuxes? (to distiguish them?) maybe a different tux then the bridal party? Any thoughts?

FH also has a bigger group of male friends so since we already have a fairly large BP (7bms and gm) we decided to make his other 3-4 guy friends and my cousin ushers at the wedding. We were saying that we'd have them in tuxes like the GM but make their vests different colors or different boutineres or something to make them stand out just a little

Well I was just at a wedding this past saturday (FH and I were in the BP) and they had all the guys (both Gm and Ushers) ride in their own separate car while the BMs rode in their own. They were not included in the pics, except they requested they were in on a few shots. but since we dont have the money really to add on another car just for the boys, we are not sure how we're going to get them there lol either they pile in the Escalade with the BP or they can get themselves there. Not really sure honestly

We don't have the money to get a separate car either. I'll probably just have them meet at the church....and like you said include them in a picture or 2...

Fh had the same issue we had one of his nephews and his niece be in the bp and then he had two other nephews that had nothing to do with the wedding. I asked his sister if she wanted them to be ushers so they can escort her down the aisle. So we are doing that and just mentioning them in the program as usher but other then that no - gifts, etc.
They are also not wearing a tux just a nice black suite.
