Wedding Vendor Report LONG!
Well, it was a blast & a wonderful day - but I`m glad the planning is over & I can get back to normal! It rained & rained all day, so the ceremony had to be indoors, but it was just as well since I was worried the older guests would be VERY hot outdoors. Fox Hollow - on the whole, GREAT. Everyone raved about the food & the service & the bridal assistant was very nice. They are starting to have more than 2 weddings there at once (although I`m not sure how they manage it), so beware. But my guests really enjoyed the place & so did we. We did encounter some less than friendly coordinators there when we first arrived, but things shaped up perfectly as the day went on. Very pleased. GREAT FOOD! Oh, and we also worked with their bakery on a custom made cake which was the most amazing thing I have ever seen - exactly what I wanted. Pedestals Florist - the flowers were OK. The bouquets were breathtaking, but I thought they could have done a better job on the centerpieces. Overall, the were fine, but working with them pre-wedding wasn`t the easiest. You had to make sure you were on top of everything, because I felt like they weren`t. But they delivered everything on time & perfectly labeled & even threw in some extra boutineers (sp?) & a tossing bouquet (which I did not request or pay for), so that was nice. AviDon Photography - wonderful! I can not wait to see my photos. Except for 40 minutes of posed photos, they were photojournalistic & unobtrusive the entire time, and even reminded me that I had requested some special photos with aunts, friends, etc. Avi, the main photographer & his two assistants were amazing & I was very impressed. East Coast Band - EXCELLENT! Everyone could not stop raving about the band & they learned two songs for us which they played flawlessly. They really made the party & there was a ton of dancing - even at an afternoon affair! They were professional & sweet & on top of everything. I would highly recommend them. Elena - the bridal assistant. She was a godsend. Not only did she show up at 7am & make me look amazing but she helped with everything (& I mean everything!) until she left at the first dance. She was worth every penny & was extremely pleasant to be around. I loved her. Elena Rojas (ceremony musicians). Also can not say enough good things about her. Not only is she reasonably priced ($250 for cello & violin), but she is efficient & very talented. Showed up early, played beautifully, & was great to deal with. Oh, and my bridesmaids used Lisa Scollo (All Tressed Up) for their hair & she was great. They looked beautiful. I think that`s all the vendors to cover, but if anyone has a question just let me know! This board was so helpful over the past year that I hope this helps someone out. Best wishes to everyone!

Fox Hollow
Just curious which room you used for cocktail and reception? Also, what main course choices did you make? I am getting married there next July 4th...and would be very interested in any tips you could offer me about Fox Hollow!! :)! Thanks in advance! Nancy

well, it depends on what type of package you want, but we paid around $3200, not including engagement shoot, and the only thing that we opted not to get in the package is extra (i.e. parent`s) albums. he apparently is one of the recommended photographers at flowerfield, as our friend who got married there used him, and that`s how we became familiar with his work. he has a website if you are interested www.avidon.com

Fox Hollow
we used the Garden Terrace for the ceremony AND the reception & the Briar Fox for the cocktail hour in between. as far as menu choices I think we did the Filet Mignon, Princess Chicken, & Salmon with Dill Sauce. I had a bite of the salmon & it was excellent. Fox Hollow knows there stuff and they do think of everything. However, if you have special requests, be sure to go over them when you finalize menu & whatnot a couple of weeks before the wedding. We were very detailed & stayed on top of things, so we were sure to make sure all went as planned. Also talk to someone about the use of the indoor photo area (in case of rain, which we had!). No one told us that we had to 'reserve' this space & then on that day our photographer had to bargain with this very unpleasant woman at the front desk. Just was a pain because I felt like FH should have told us about this. Other than that snafu, they were great. And the cocktail hour food was really really great (or so I hear - I was too busy talking!).

Can you please post contact info for the vendors. I am looking for ceremony music plus a great band. What did the band charge. Also, what did the bridal assistant do for you? How much is she? None of my friends have ever used one before. Thanks!!

Wedding Vendor Report LONG! - michele
I`m sort of in disarray at the moment, since we are moving apartments, so I don`t have all contact info handy, but this should help: Elena Rojas (ceremony musicians): email address - [email protected] Band: www.eastcoastband.com - I know they have contact info on the site. If I recall, they were about $4500, but we also used them for cocktail hour music, so I can`t remember whether that was included in the $4500. The bridal assistant does your hair & make-up & then stays with you until the first dance. She basically helps out in any way possible...helps you into dress, fixes hair & make-up for photos, etc. Very handy. her name is Elena, and if you do a search on this board, you should be able to find her number. I`m sorry, that`s one of the things I can`t find right now. Good luck!Welcome New Vendors
