For those that are already married.... or soon to be married. What are your thoughts on getting a videographer for your wedding. Was it worthwhile, do you watch it, do you regret it... Please share your thoughts. My FH and I are trying to decide if we should even bother. I want it and he doesn't.... we both understand each other's point of view.... but we just want to make sure its a worthwhile expense. Please share.....
At first I was on the fence about video...but soooo glad we got it...the day went by so fast & you are on such an adrenaline high you hardly remember stuff...i love watching our ceremony since we wrote our own vows & Dh surprised me by re-proposing in front of everyone...we laughed watching our guests do stuff that we didn't notice the day of...and we have shared the video with many friends & family who weren't able to be there that day.....to us it was so worth it...we did go with the least expensive package and loved the results..(Wild Rose)....i have tons of beautiful pics that captured the day as well but the video is like being there all over again....i'd recommend getting it...or at least having someone shoot stuff for you with a video camera.
I am having one....I think that in the long run of all the things we will spend $$ on this and photos is what we'll have when were done...will we watch it everyday ? of course not but we will have it if we want to watch it.
Well in the beginning FH didn't want it and I did. I know we won't watch it as often but it is something nice I would like our future children to see and when we grow old and senile it would be nice to watch again lol. Besides I would like to see things I may have missed at the wedding.
We are having one, I cannot imagine with all of the photos we are going to be taking, and people that we are going to say hello to, that we would be able to capture and remember all of the details - it isnt that expensive - i would say its definately worth it..
i feel its definitely important. it was never a question in my mind if I wanted it or not because I wanted to make sure I had the memories forever!
We are also getting one. My FH said he didn't want one but once he saw the one from my photographer and he started tearing up, he was like, we MUST get one!! ha. We're getting one for each parents, and then ours. We're planning on watching it on our 1st year anniversary together while eating the cake top! Ha. I'll prolly watch it before then...like when I just get it and all..lol.... but with everything that will be going on it's hard to say not to get one.... my friend got married in Decemeber thinking that she wouldn't care for on, but now it's a huge regret....
We're not having the videographer, but it's not a bad idea to have to show your kids in the future, as someone mentioned before. Other girls I know still haven't watched their videos and they've been married for years!
