Wedding Video Songs
I just saw my wedding video this weekend and was not happy with any of the songs that the videographer used for the baby pictures and for the wedding highlights at the end (he never asked me what I wanted). Does anyone have any suggestions?????????? Thanks!

'I Could Not Ask for More' Edwin McCain 'What a Wonderful World' Louis Armstrong Your wedding song should be the recap or highlights section. Your videographer owes you an apology for not requesting your preferences! Good luck!

I'm not sure if you are looking for suggestions on what you can do about it at this point or are you looking for suggestions on what songs can be used? I would call and have him re-edit it. I have never heard of a videographer not getting the customer`s OK on the songs they use. If you are looking for songs, we used Baby I Love You by Aretha Franklin for the baby pics and Happy Together (Mel Torme version) for the recap. Good luck.

I was plesantly surprised when he informed me that the tape was done (our wedding was September 22). However, I was also surprised because he never asked me what songs I wanted. When I saw the tape this weekend, I was very upset by the songs. They are all old songs, many of which I had never heard before in my life. The baby pictures had 'Days of our Lives' (I don`t know the artist, and I never heard the song before in my life). Then another song following, 'Have you Heard' another song I had never heard before. After the ceremony highlights- 'We`ve only just begun' by Karen Carpenter. Nice, but not my style. Then following that is Kenny G (whom I`m not crazy about at all). I don`t remember what song is used for the highlights, but obviously, if I can`t remember it... I want to use maybe something from Sarah Maclaughlin, Enya, etc. I also love music from Dean Martin, Lou Prima, Sinatra, Bobby Darrin, Dinah Washington, etc. Any suggestions you have would be much appreciated. By the way, my wedding song was 'First time ever I saw your face' By Roberta Flack. Do you think that would be too slow for the wedding highlights???

If you give me your e-mail, I'll let you know. By the way, is 'Time of your life', by Paul Anka the song that was redone a few years ago by Green Day?

I hope you are able to have it re-edited to include the songs you want. You deserve to have a video you love. Here are the songs we used for ideas: Opening sequence: Only You by The Platters Baby Pics: Baby I Love You by Aretha Franklin Dating Pics: You Send Me by Sam Cooke Limos to the Church: Going to the Chapel by the Dixie Cups Receiving Line: I Could Write A Book by Dinah Washington Recap: Happy Together by Mel Torme (not our wedding song, by the way) Honeymoon Pics: Jambalaya by Jerry Lee Lewis (New Orleans) & Beyond the Sea by Bobby Darin (belated honeymoon on Alaskan cruise) It fades out to the last scene with Beyond the Sea where it has B&W slo-mo of us dancing at the wedding & the 'credits'. (I always get all misty watching the end of the video.) Good luck, I hope it all works out to your satisfaction.
