Sorry if this is a repeat topic - I looked and the most recent discussion I could find was in 2010. And I know the many of you 2013 brides probably did this last year, lol.

What is the best (free) wedding website? any opinions, and why?

I've got a list:

the knot - I already have a draft going here
ourwedding.com
weddingwire.com
mywedding.com
ewedding.com
brides.com

I put this on FH's To Do list...

He gave me a run-down of the various sites and together we decided on Wedding Wire. It just seemed to have the most features for a free site.

There were many customization options, it seemed easy to navigate and had sections for all the information we thought was important.

Our Save the Dates are just about to go out (late, I know), with the website printed on them. If I get any valuable feedback from guests, I'll let you know!

That's why I am doing it, too, for the save the date, lol.

Genius on delegating the website, sax. That will not fly for me.

I am trying to buy a little time on the registries creation and hotel choosing by just putting the website on the save the date - I'm Aug 2, so in the same boat as you. But like seemingly everything associated with weddings, there are endless levels of detail with every choice. Fun, but sometimes difficult to make choices.

i love myweddin.com you can edit pages really easily and turn pages off till you ready to put them up. we had the site up and running since std went out but didn't know where we were going to resister so we shut that page off till we were ready.

we used glosite.com. It seemed to have the best options for us and allowed for the most versatility. But its very tied into prompting its online invite function, so you have to set it up differently if you are not interested in using their invites

I used Weddingwire.com and put the website address on my STDs. I have all of the wedding and hotel info on there.

the knot is ourwedding.com.

we have ours there and i like it, but my only complaint is that i can't add multiple pics to a page...like for the bridal party.

I'm using theknot. I like the fact that I can use their photo uploading app, and that they connected directly to my registry.
