wedding website

wedding website

Ok so I'm still trying to get an understanding what a wedding website is for.....and if I should stress myself by doing one!!
From what I understand it's basically just to let guest get to know u and fh for those who don't know u very well as a couple. Basically a couple bio! And then hotel block info or near by hotels if u aren't doing a block.
I don't know that I NEED one setting as with the exception of maybe 8 guest on FH side and a few co workers at my new job, we are only inviting people that know us, and know is well so I.don't see the point in wasting time and stressing over it.
Is anyone willing to share the link to their website I would appreciate it. If u want to FMrme it privately I understand.I think I need to see what one looks like to get a better idea if we need one or not!!

TIA LADIES!!

It is super easy. The templates are all done. You just need to type the info in. And you can leave out whatever you want- like I didn't add the page for our bridal party. You can add pages, like I did for instagram. I used the knot.

I didn't realize they were so popular either. Since I didn't put one on my save the dates I'm not going to bother making one now. If they lose the card that gives the hotel info then they're on their own to just find one.

I'm using it just as you described.. Definitely not a necessity but FH and I are having fun doing it together. Ours isn't complete yet, but you can kind of get a feel for it...

We have a ton of out of town guests so its much easier to refer them to the website than answer all questions individually. If people have questions the site doesnt answer we have a 'contact us' area. We put the site address on our save-the-dates and spread it by word of mouth. It was super easy to setup too. Our website is www.mywedding.com/lisagarpercz if you want to take a look!

Did u feel like u should have done it?
I should also add idk that we having a hotel block bc idk how many people will stay. Our out of town friends have fam here to stay with and our reception is in Bethpage most of us live in Farmingdale, Lindenhurst, and that area.

We did ours on the knot. I think it is a cute idea so people can hear about you, your bridal party and also you can add links to your registry .

I would still put the website on your save the dates no matter what and you can always put 'Under Construction, please excuse the mess' or something like that on the website main page (make it cute, rhyme, whatever lol) and then get it done at your pace. It's a nice thing to have and it's fun to do if you can find the time.

As for your hotel blocks, I would find a hotel that doesn't require a minimum number of rooms to be blocked and use them. I've heard Kleinfeld Hotel Blocks is amazing.. they do all the calling around and shopping around for the best prices, and it's a free service. Definitely google it and give them a call to see if any hotels do that, that way it's there for your guests if they want it, but no pressure on you to fill a certain number of rooms.

No, I'm ok with not having one. I'm not that creative and don't know if I could make it as cute as other people have it. Everyone knows us and the ones I saw had photo albums and bios, it just seemed like doubling on things people see through my facebook.
