wedding with 80 guests

I'm probably having 80 guests at the most and I'm having a hard time finding a RH that will accomodate. Most of the places I've looked at require 90 to 100. I know I can probably negotiate the number but I'm afraid if we end up having 70 guests we won't meet the minimum. Any suggestions?

I had my wedding at Verdi's Westbury...I had to guarantee 80. They do have a smaller room where all you need to guarantee is 60! HTH!

Sans Souci makes you guarantee 50, but we will probably have about 100 there

I had a wedding with a minimum of 50 guests.

these places were willing to have small parties 50-100 guests:

westbury manor
coral house
milleridge inn
irish coffee pub
miller beach surf club
sans souci
fox hollow inn
george washington manor
swan club

I heard Meditterean Manor has a low minimum

i had my wedding at the riviera, and they changed the minimum from 100 to 60 for us!

Do you care what time of the year?/day of week?

I started off thinking i was going to be at a 75 guarentee..VERY hard for most places to accomodate you on a Friday or Saturday night.

If you are willing to do a Sunday day or Saturday day..they might work with you also try an off month like dec or nov or jan. :)

I have a 90 guarentee at Larkfield Manor on a holiday weekend and...im sure they would work with u!

SanSoucci was also willing to work with us :)

i was going to suggest Westbury Manor....I know when I was looking they were 1 of the few places that had low minimums, even for a Sat night.

You could also try Bella Verde (Heartland Golf Course in Deer Park). My stepbrother had his engagement party there last week and it was very nice. It's only 1 party at a time and the food was good. I know it might be a little different for a wedding than an engagement party, but it's still worth checking it out. I don't think they had to guarantee that many people.

You can try Old Field Club, I have a minimum of 100 for a Sunday..if it's off season they might be able to give you a lower minimum..It's beautiful there!

We are having a small wedding as well. These places required less than 100

Westbury Manor (60 min)
Swan Club (90 or 95)
Coral House (70 or 75)


I did not go to this one but I know Verdis & Riveria did not require that much

I am planning on end of October or early November on a Friday or Saturday night. I like Westbury Manor, but they said they have a 90 person minimum. Maybe they will work with us though. Was the 60 person minimum at Westbury Manor for a night wedding?

What about The Vanderbilt Mansion at Dowling? They can only accommodate like 140, so I would imagine you can try to negotiate minimums, especially on off nights/months. HTH!

I had my wedding at the MIller Beach Surf Club on a Saturday in July. Daytime they have a 50 person guarantee and evening they have a 75 person guarantee.

We're having our wedding at Stewart Manor Country Club and I think weonly guaranteed 70 people, it's one event at a time so you have the entire place to yourself.

Thank you for posting that. My wedding will be small too and Miller Beach Surf Club was my first choice, View in Oakdale too.
