My wedding was last month and it was amazing, perfect even. It was the BEST day of my life. Looking back now yes the planning was stressful but it was the best time of my life.
Any other brides out there whose weddings have past feel just a little bit sad that the wedding itself is over?
I am so happy with DH and our beautiful life together but we already lived together before we got married so now our lfie is just back to 'normal'. LOL
I wanna do it all over again! Anyone else going through wedding withdrawal too?
Silly I know but true...

Re: Wedding Withdrawal
Not at all! It was great planning and I really did fine with it, but our new married life is so much more exciting than the planning was! We live together for the first time, are enjoying our new house and all of the things that come along with it, we are having so much fun together AND with our new puppy....I wouldn't trade this for the world!
Sometimes I wish wedding planning was over, but I think I will miss planning when it's over.

Re: Wedding Withdrawal
I was sad for like a 6 weeks afterwards - especially if I heard certain songs or looked at certain wedding pics. I am totally back to my old self now though. You will feel better soon, once a little more time passes (kinda like that Leona Lewis song lol)

Re: Wedding Withdrawal
I feel ya!!! I am split....right after the wedding, I was so depressed that it was over and we would never do that again...I am a bride who genuiniely loved every single second of planning and was rarely stressed over it and the day was truly exactly the way I wanted it to be....in my opinion it was perfect for us.....so yes I was depressed, still am a bit, but similar to what someone else said, we have our new place and are living together for just a short time and we too have our new little puppy....so I am enjoying this stage of our lives as well....but I swear, I do know what you mean!!!

Re: Wedding Withdrawal
I was actually relieved that is over...even the next day!! I was such a stress case, especially the 2 weeks before, that I wasn't myself. I just got my proofs back, and I sort of wish I could go back to that night and enjoy it again, and do a few things differently. I feel you though...I thought I was going to be depressed.

Re: Wedding Withdrawal
I am not sad the planning part is over. But i do get a terrible jealous feeling knowing that other people still have their big day ahead of them and ours is only a memory
Never again in my life will i have a day like that and its really upsetting

i feel the same. I do NOT miss the planning, i am very surprised because i honestly thought i would and would have serious wedding withdrawl but once the wedding was over i was glad all the stress of it was over. I do miss having the big day to look forward to if that makes any sense. I remember watching 'say yes to the dress' and seeing someone all emotional and her mom so emotional and i remember thinking those special moments are all in the past now. I only miss the day itself that is the only part i wish i could do over again
But its just the moments lol not the wedding planning. Now i am all focused on things for the future and our life now

I think it's normal to get a little blue after a big event. I also think you are at your peak leading up to the wedding, you are pulling something so big off, and you want to keep using your skills and bridal superpowers. I sure don't miss RSVP's

Exactly! I want to be a bride again but now that part of my life is over and I had to move on... it's hard after being on a 'wedding high' I try to just be happy that I got the opportunity to have the wedding of my dreams and I try to appreciate all the wonderful memories. Seeing my video helped A LOT!!! because I got to re-live it in a way. I've felt a lot better since then.

Re: Wedding Withdrawal
I know its sounds bad but I guess you really get used to everything 'being all about you and DH' if you know what I mean. With every family event or night out everyone asks about the details of your big day. And I def loved sharing all my details with everyone.
Sometimes now, I feel like I dont know what to talk about anymore. LOL
Im glad there are other brides out there who feel the same. :)

that part im glad about that its over
i mean dont get me wrong it was real nice when ppl would get excited for us and say 'yay your wedding is coming up so soon'
but i dont miss people ALWAYS asking me 'did you do this yet, when are you gonna do it' or hearing everyones opinions of how i should do things lol.
I remember being asked constantly about certain things and if i did it yet, and it was just annoying to say NO not yet and seeing peoples faces like OMG why not.
