I know its sounds bad but I guess you really get used to everything 'being all about you and DH' if you know what I mean. With every family event or night out everyone asks about the details of your big day. And I def loved sharing all my details with everyone.

Sometimes now, I feel like I dont know what to talk about anymore. LOL

Im glad there are other brides out there who feel the same. :)

I think this is what I am dealing with right now. I miss being the center of attention, I'll admit it

Sometimes I wish wedding planning was over, but I think I will miss planning when it's over.

I feel the exact same way..some days I am like gosh I just want the wedding to come already BUT then i relaize thats it its over in one day and I am afraid I am going to be sad to. I guess it is bittersweet regardless for a little while.

Re: Wedding Withdrawal

We still have six weeks to go but I'm already over the planning. I don't think I'm going to miss it very much -- there were some days this summer when I hardly thought about anything planning-related at all. Of course there were other days when the wedding was all I could think or talk about!

Re: Wedding Withdrawal

Honestly i have been so upset lately that the wedding is really OVER!!!! There is soo much planning and preparation over the past 2 years during your engagment that it is kind of a let done once it's all over. I have not been able to watch our wedding day recap because ive been getting so sad...LoL and to tell you the truth...im even more upset about the honeymoon!! We had suchhhhhhh an AMAZING time on our honeymoon that everyday i still wish we were there!!!! I looked at our honeymoon pics this weekend and actually cried.....it's really crazy bc i can't even watch WE with all the bridal shows on!!! LoL BUT on the up side.....DH and I really are enjoying living together and during 'married things!' i am soo happy to finally be married but i can say it is a bit of a let down once its over!!!!

I totally get you- we went through the same thing, since we also lived together before the wedding. We came back from the honeymoon and as wonderful as it was to be married, I just couldn't help but look around and be like.. 'so, now what?' I put ALLL that effort into planning a beautiful wedding and it was so sad to realize it was over.

Try planning some fun things together. That's what we've been doing. We're enjoying our alone time as husband and wife, especially before we start our new jobs in the fall. Think of all you still have to look forward to- a family, etc. All the excitement is only just beginning

Re: Wedding Withdrawal

I totally agree with everything that's been said here...I miss getting excited about my day and sharing all the details with anyone who would listen But I don't miss the stress of getting everything done in a tight timeframe, the RSVPs, or shelling out so much $$$$ So glad I'm not the only one who feels this way.....................!!!

I second that about wanting to do the honeymoon all over again. We went to Hawaii, it was AMAZING! I wish I could be there again!!

I'm sure we will go back to celebrate an anniversary. :)

yes more than anything. the week of our wedding was the most amazing of our lives. never again will we ever be able to have all our loved ones an friends in paradise together. we were able to share so many of our favorite places with friends and family. we had so much fun with everyone that we are super upset for it to be over. both DH and i want to do it all over again

Re: Wedding Withdrawal

not really.. DH and I are living together for the first time... and we have so many new things to look forward too.. it feels great to just be us and not worry about vendors and things like that.. we enjoyed every second of wedding planning.. even the stressful ones... and now we get to just be..
