Weddings are expensive

...I know the subject sounds like a 'DUHHH' kind of comment, but I never realized until I started talking with vendors how expensive things really are :( I had this budget in mind when I started planning, and now it almost feels like everything has to be adjusted for us to have a small piece of the wedding we envisioned. It's just becoming a bit frustrating and difficult to find something that we like but can also afford.

For example, just realized that wedding officiants are around 350-450 instead of the $50-100 I thought (I think I got this number from a movie I once saw, hah), and also realizing the really good photographers are in the few thousands instead of low ones.

Anyhow, sorry just my little rant of the day!

My wedding is becoming SO overwhelming and SO over my head! I am going to be going over almost 10k for my wedding I am thinking. I think we all need to have a sit down to compare all this stuff and see how we can keep the budgets down!!!!

its crazy how quickly things add up!!! i'm in shock and it has been so hard to try and stay under budget and we just started!

That's exactly how I feel! Oh man. I had my spreadsheet all ready and each time I talk to someone I need to up the budget LOL

awww Adelina!!! u're not feeling alone on this one! I hate when is time for the bills to be paid, specially the venue one, since it's the most espensive

Oh man. I agree - this budget thing is crazy. So far I'm doing pretty good (not sure how but it's working hah!)

Keep your foot down with how much you want to spend on things - that really has helped us! Although it's sooo easy to add things on.

I am so determine to stay under budget. I have 4000 more in my budget to get a dress, invitations, flowers, officiant, BP gifts. So ladies I am going to need help. :)

Luckily we are under budget, I haggled a great deal!!!!!!!!!! Even though we are under budget I am still freaking out about the cost!!!! There are many ways to save $$$$$$$ that you can utilize, so don't jump the gun just yet.

I'm in this boat right here. Still getting worried I might have to up the budget a little bit. But not there quite yet.

dude, no joke! When I was looking for an officiant, I was FLOORED at how expensive they are! I mean, for someone who is going to be there for 30 minutes, I thought it would be like $100. So ridiculous. The minute you say 'wedding' everything doubles in price!

I know!!!

I CANNOT get over how expensive they are!!

Luckily, FFIL helped us find someone and is paying for it himself!!

You're talking for a half hour! Why do you need to charge soooooo much?!
