Anyone having an afternoon wedding and having fears?
I changed my wedding to the afternoon to save on costs and I had a horrible dream where no one danced or ate and complained how it was too early to 'have fun.' I was mortified when I work up and now I fear that it'll come true...
any thoughts??

No afternoon wedding but it will be fine !! Don't worry - you do what you have to - to cut costs we all know how expensive weddings are..

This is just me but I will eat at any time of the day. And if you provide some liquor, I will dance too.

I was just talking about this with my FSIL bc she is contemplating having an afternoon wedding and I said that that could be fun if you plan something after. Maybe a bbq or vineyard trip!! Just continue the party on!!

I am having an afternoon wedding. If people are 'party people' then they will dance and have fun no matter where they are.
As for planning some activity for after the wedding I think that if my guests feel so inclined they can plan it themselves.

a wedding is an event to celebrate, no matter what time of the day it is! get a great group of people together with food and alcohol and a new bride and groom and everyone will be bouncing off the walls!

My sister had an afternoon wedding at Fox hollow. Afterwards everyone came back to my hotel room and my mom's (we got suites next to each other). It was an absolute blast! Not only was everyone having a great time at the wedding (with plenty of drinking and dancing) the party continued well, well into the night! Don't even worry!

i went to a sunday afternoon (no liquor) wedding
the wedding was awesome - danced my butt off
i will admit it was strange to walk out of the wedding at 5pm and then be like umm ok it's sunday and now what
but the wedding was AMAZING
don't stress - those who love you will enjoy celebrating your big day regardless of the hour!

It will be fine. I went to a wedding in the fall and I was out of there by 6 30. It was nice to just go home and have the night to recooperate lol.

it will be fun!! I would defiantely plan going out to a bar or something if you want to keep it going- time really doesnt matter its the people and celebration that does

They have black out shades on the windows in there that do the trick...enough that you'll be able to have dj lights without it being a waste. That's what we're doing bc I would have loved an evening wedding. :)
