My FH has a HUGE (Jewish) family. I have a very small family (Catholic). He's sugesting that he have 4 grooms men (and his sister in his party) to my one maid of honor. Has anyone been through this situation?? Help!!

I know a bunch of ladies have been through the same ordeal.. I had 6 ladies in my BP to 7 men... a little less unbalanced... but still wierd.. It worked though! This is common on here though, if there is nobody else you feel like asking, do not feel pressured to!

I think you shoould do whatever works for you. I had 5 girls and he had 6 guys.
But If you want to have 5 guys and 1 girl, I think you should. I wouldn't ask people just to have people.

Thanks, but I would feel so weird with just one MOH and like six BM on his side. I guess I'm traditional and my FH is not. Or better yet, I don't think he understands the dynamics - am I clueless??

A friend of mine had what's called a king's wedding. 1 MOH, 1 BM, and all the rest were guys (her husband has something like 6 brothers). It was great.

It makes for interesting pics!!! The 6 guys wouldnt ALL be Best men (?) would they? Five would be ushers, no??

I went to a wedding like that, actually. The bride had mostly male friends anyway, so there were a BUNCH of groomsmen and only one BM. And she wore black and white. I never thought twice about it - it was fine.
