~*~*Wednesday 8/5/09 QOTD~*~*

Yesterday’s question was about the past. Today, let’s talk about the future.

(1) If you could peak ahead and see where you will be on August 5, 2029, would you and what would you like to see?

(2) What would you like your future self to remember about the way you were on August 5, 2009?

I would absolutely love to peak into the future. On August 5, 2029, I'd like to see FH and I about to become empty-nesters and starting an entirely new phase of our lives.

What I would to remember most about how I was on August 5, 2029 was the great anticipation and excitement that I feel about all of these 'firsts' in my life. First marriage, first house, hopefully first baby coming soon. It's just such an amazing and exciting time.

ETA: Oops - I don't mean 'first marriage' in that there will be others - when I just read it back it sounded really strange. I just can't think of another way to word it - it's way too early.

1. I wouldnt want to see myself in the future...I just think it would change the way I live my life today

2. If my future self could see me know I would want them to see a strong, independent, loving woman who is super excited to marry the man of my dreams!

I would like to see us with our kids in college about to graduate hopefully retired and enjoying ourselves as we travel the world happily married.

What I would remember looking back on this day was to not worry about so much and it will work out and if it doesnt the world will not end.

If i looked into the future at it was August 5, 2009 I would see me and my FH old lol and almost about to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary! have a few kids that are hopefully not as wild and crazy as FH was at that age! lol

and what i would want my Future self to see is just have fun! dont let the stresses of life take over and still remember to have fun with life!

Crashing....geegee, your questions are AWESOME and I can't resist crashing to answer them

1. I wouldn't want to look into the future. I'm a big believer in 'things happen for a reason', whether good or bad, and have always used that as my mantra when I'm stuck in making a big decision - again, good or bad. I'm afraid that seeing myself twenty years from now would influence my major decisions that will come along in my life.

2. I'd want myself to remember how strong and independant I was in my 20's, and that no matter what, I always took care of myself. I'd also like to remember how humbled I was when I did have to ask my FH or best friend for emotional support through the rough times...I'm quite stubborn when it comes to being self-sufficient, and often forget that asking for emotional support doesn't mean you're weak.

Hmm.... 2029...

Well I hope I am teaching but close to retiring. I hope FH owns his own marina, his dream. I want us to have two kids, both in High School or one just starting college. In a perfect world we would have a boy and a girl.

I don't think I would be able to look back and remember August 5, 2009... I think August 8 will overshadow it by a lot. But I hope I remember how excited, yet anxious I was.

I would love to see myself in a profession that i love, happily married with FH with no major worries in the world, seeing our children as young adults and just living a comfortable life.

Feel free to crash away and thanks for the compliment!

I love, love, love what you want to remember.....I'm exactly the same way.

I'm sure 8/8/09 will definitely overshadow 8/5/09! I can't believe you're so close.

Hi!!! Ok I'm crashing once again. I agree w/Kris...LOVE your questions!!!

In 8/5/29.....I am freaking doing the math on how old FH & i will be but I would def love to be close to the end of my career , I'm sure FH will already be in retirement bliss!!!! Kids, hopefully we will have a house hold of healthy and happy teenagers getting ready to enter their college years but most importantly I want to see FH & wise and happy w/age and experience. I hope / pray that we always are each others BFF.

What do I want to remember geez everything...how excited I am to FH when he comes home from work, how safe I feel w/him and how proud I am of myself for all the accomplishments I have achieved in the past few years.

You think you're freaking out about how old you'll be in 2029. I'll be turning 61 and FH will be 62 - we can start collecting medicare!

Re: ~*~*Wednesday 8/5/09 QOTD~*~*

20 years from now, we'll be celebrating FH's 49th birthday, hopefully out to dinner with our children, and I'll be goading him that he's *almost* old. Hopefully we will be very comfortable in our lives, and even more so, that I won't be working anymore.

I wouldn't want my future self to remember the way I was on 8/5/09. Today was a very hectic day for me, and since I am so miserable in my job and that consumed such a big part of this particular day, I don't want to remember that in the future. I'll want to remember the nerves and excitement of anticipating my shower, looking for places to live for our first place, and putting together the last finishing touches on the wedding.
